I was sitting downstairs by myself eating my breakfast. AB negative to be specific, when Stefan rushes down stairs. Damon left to go talk to Alaric very early this morning, and I'm sure to steal Elena away from Caroline and Bonnie.
"You. Me. Cabin in the woods." Stefan said. I stopped feeding to look up at him.
"I'm sorry what?" I asked, making sure I heard him right.
"I want to take you with me to a cabin in the woods." Stefan repeated again.
"What's the catch?" I asked him.
"Why does there always have to be a catch with you?" He asked me, messing up my hair in the process. I went to go touch his, but he slapped my hand away. He is protective of his "hero hair" as Damon likes to call it.
"So you, Stefan Salvatore, are telling me you own a cabin." I asked him.
"More like a lake house in the woods." Stefan said.
"Don't doge the question." I said, throwing a pillow at him. He caught it with no hesitation.
"No. It's Elena and Jeremys." Stefan said. I click my tongue.
"And there it is. I'm guessing Elena Gilbert will be joining us." I said.
"Well this trip isn't optional, and yes Elena is going."
"You're taking us out of Mystic Falls for a reason."
"Please." Stefan asked. I smiled.
"I'd rather be with you and Elena then Damon and Elena."
"So you ready for our 'romantic' weekend." Stefan asked.
"I'm beyond ready." I said. Stefan kisses me, but then pulls back, allowing me to go upstairs and pack my things.

Stefan, Elena, and I were sitting in Stefans Porsche. I have to say, Stefan absolutely loves this car with everything he has. I was sitting in the front, and Elena was sitting in the back. The house is very nice, and the view of the water is to die for.
"You okay?" Stefan asked Elena. She stayed quiet, nodding slightly.
"I'm good. I just haven't been back here since before..." Elena said, trying to not let the tears fall. Her parents.
"Oh my god." Stefan said, clearly feeling awful for being Elena here. "Elena I'm so sorry."
"Elena just say the word, well be right back on the highway." I said to her. She smiled at me.
"I've always loved it here. I want it to stay that way, I was just...having a moment." Elena said. Stefan nodded, and Elena went to unlock the door, walking inside. Stefan and I were standing awkwardly on the front porch as Elena was having a moment.
"You two don't have to wait out there. I'm okay."  Elena said. We smiled.
"Well I would love to come in, but we are stuck." I said.
"Oh god you can't come in." Elena said.
"Well it's not gonna be a very relaxing weekend if you don't let us in." Stefan said.
         "I literally can't." Elena said.
"What do you mean you can't?" I asked her.
"My parents left this place to John Gilbert. He's the only one who can let you two in."
"So much for that relaxing weekend." I said. Elena started to laugh.
"I'm just kidding! Come on in." Elena said, Stefan walked in, but I was still stuck outside. Stefan went to put his stuff next to elenas.
"Come on in Iris." I laughed, setting my stuff down.

I was sitting on the dock, wrapping a blanket around me. The leaves on all the trees were all different colors, reds, yellow, and oranges. Autumn has always been my favorite time of the year, even before 'autumn' was a thing. Elijah and I used to sit under the harvest moon, talking about our future, life without our crazy siblings. Elijahs favorite question was "what do you look for in a man" and I have never gotten to answer truthfully because I was so young that I knew nothing about love. Hell, I'm over a thousand years old, and I still don't know anything about love. Am I even doing it right? Do I even know what I want? I wish Elijah and I were not in the situation we are in, I just wanna talk to my brother about all the messy feelings I have towards Stefan.
"A penny for your thoughts?" Stefan asked me. I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't even notice that Stefan sat down next to me.
"My thoughts..." I said taking a deep, shaky breath, "are messy." Stefan laughs, wrapping his arms around me. "I'm just thinking about memories.. and my future."
"I think about my future sometimes too. I think about our future mostly. I think there are a lot of conversations to be had about our future, about the kind of life we could have together." Stefan said to me, making me smile.
"Our future?" I asked him. He laughed.
"Don't act so shocked." Stefan said to me. "I know that Damon told you how head over heels I am for you."
"Yeah. He did." I said, laughing leaning into Stefan. I put my head on his shoulders. We sat in silence, enjoying each other's company. Well, that was until Stefan spoke up.
"You know, this is a future memory. It's where your boyfriend whispered to you that he loved you." Stefan said. He then gets real close to my ear, whispering the three little words into my ear. I felt my cheeks grow hot, as Stefan places a kiss on my forehead. Your boyfriend. I could get used to that.
