Chapter 21

After spending hell in teenage drama, getting cat called by every guy, freshman to senior, and teaching Alaric history, I'm over this bloody day. There is always a catch for me though.
Stefan:
Hey lovely... how was your first day?
Iris:
Stefan, it's the middle of seventh period. How do you think I'm doing?

Stefan:
You look annoyed.
Iris:
I am bloody annoyed.
Stefan:
Oh come on. It's not that bad.
Iris:
It literally is. And Alaric isn't giving factual information.

It was almost like Alaric read my mind. That or he just chose today to be a royal dick.
"Ms. Mikaelson, just because you are the only sophomore in my class doesn't mean you get a free pass." Alaric said to me. "And Mr. Salvatore, you know my classroom rules."
"Well, Mr. Sultzman, maybe I would be interested if you actually gave proper information." I said.
"I'm sorry, what?" Alaric asked me.
"Your dates and your information about the falling of the Han Dynasty is all wrong. Hell, a five year old could do better research."
"Please, if you know so much about the Han Dynasty, then teach me. Teach the whole class." Alaric said.
"Gladly. An actual intellect teaching the class." I said, standing up, as Alaric took a seat at my desk.
"As Mr. Sultzman said, the Han Dynasty fell in 189 A.D. which yes is somewhat true, but that's not the specific time period that it fell. The Han Dynasty started to weaken in 189 A.D. but it wasn't completely fallen until 220 A.D. 31 years after Mr. Sultzman said." I said to the class, earning an annoyed look from Alaric.
"Someone fact check her." Alaric said. Kids pulled out their phones, looking up when the Han Dynasty fell.
"She's correct." Some random blonde kid said. I smiled at an annoyed Alaric.
"Okay, well how did it fall?" Alaric asked.
"I'm so glad you asked Mr. Sultzman. The Han army was defeated in the battle and Cao Cao was forced to retreat to his home base. The Han Dynasty formally ended in 220 A.D. when the son of Cao Cao, named Cao Pi forces the Emperor Xian from his throne. When Cao Pi assumed the throne for himself, he became the emperor of Cao Wei, a new state." I said..
"And how long did it last?" Alaric asked.
"The Han Dynasty ran for over 400 years, from 206 BC to 220 AD. It was the second Imperial dynasty after the Qin Dynasty. It was followed by the Three Kingdoms period." I said. Alaric sighed, looking at me. "Are you done making a fool of yourself?" I looked over to Stefan, who looked shocked.
"Yes, thank you Ms. Mikaelson." Alaric said. I smiled.

Stefan:
That was impressive.
Iris:
Told you I was smart
Stefan:
Alaric is never gonna let you live it down.
Iris:
Oh well I guess.
Stefan:
You seem... moody...
Iris:
I'm tired, hungry, and I much rather be snuggling in my bed with a certain person but no, I'm sitting in hell teaching Alaric about the Han Dynasty.

Stefan:
That certain person much rather be with you too
Iris:
Really?! You think Caroline wants to cuddle with
me?

Stefan:
I'm just gonna pretend you didn't hurt my pride there.
Iris:
No but seriously... you, me, fluffy blankets, a movie, and sleep? Right after we get out of here.
