kth

butterflies. those were butterflies.

fuck.

sitting in the passenger seat of jungkook's mercedes, taehyung tried to ignore the fluttering feeling that had briefly occurred in his stomach a while ago. but he couldn't.

with the way that jungkook looked at him and that cocky smirk and that goddamn twinkle in his eye, it did something to the older.

"i NEED YOU gIrL waE honjA saRanghaGo honJasEomAn ibyeolHAE", yoongi began to screech some poppy boy band song at the top of his lungs in the backseat, squirming around when hoseok tried to hold him down. it made taehyung jump in his seat.

"i nEed yOu giRL", he sobbed and grabbed the collar of the brunette's shirt, pretending to cry before hiding his face in hoseok's neck. the younger was completely dumbfounded at what to do while jungkook remained chuckling in the driver's seat.

"that song always gets to him", jungkook wiped under his eyes, looking back at taehyung with the remnants of his laughter leaving back a bunny toothed grin. their eyes met and the younger's smile widened a little more.

fuck, the flutters are back.

"they released it back in 2015 and you're still crying about it"? hoseok joked, rubbing his hand up and down the older's back as he fake sobbed. yoongi nodded before pulling away.

"it's such a good song. they need her but she keeps on hurting them", yoongi whined, thrashing around in the backseat. this makes the other three boys laugh at his behavior.

"hyung, no more beer for you and that's final", jungkook giggled, finally pulling into his apartment complex. the older stumbled out once the car was parked, gesturing to the buildings like he owned the place.

"taehyung, hobi, welcome to the poor people housing complex : where no one wears gucci and we're all miserable", yoongi slurred, pointing at both boys with a slightly shaky finger and gesturing to the groups of buildings

the buildings were tall and sleek, tall enough to touch the sky that was full of stars tonight. looking at jungkook and yoongi, no one would guess that they lived here or worked corporate desk jobs like uncles do.

"oh taehyungie, how are we going to get back"? hobi asked, helping yoongi out of the car and letting the pale boy lean on him. taehyung didn't miss his sleepy smile as he burrowed his head in the crook of hobi's neck.

"who said you're going back"? yoongi whispered this into hobi's ear, watching in amusement as his eyes grew wide at the level of bluntness. taehyung, on the other hand, flipped his gaze to the younger stepping out of his car and pushing his hair back like a model.

"i can drive you back to your apartment whenever you want", jungkook offered, looking down at the older with an unreadable expression on his face. taehyung didn't know what he wanted.

he could go back to his apartment, but he'd be by himself and taehyung was sure he just ran out of food. or he could go back to his parents house but that was asking to be tortured. so, jungkook's apartment it is.

the four got into the elevator, poking each other and trying to get yoongi to stop singing the i need you song at the top of his lungs. this resulted in hobi putting his hand over the older's mouth, promising lamb skewers for lunch in exchange for shutting up before they got to his floor.

thus leaving jungkook and taehyung alone in the elevator for three more floors.

"are you hungry"? jungkook played with his fingers absentmindedly, pulling the thin silver band on his middle finger on and off.
