three years later
taehyung steps out of the car, grinning at the view in front of him.
the forest green grass that cascades all over the land, turns a bit darker due to the fall weather. little houses peak from the treetops where smoke billows out from the chimneys and if you listened closely, you could hear children laughing.
well that might also be the children laughing less than five feet away from taehyung.
his jacket sleeve is tugged and the brunette turns around to see two little boys smiling up at him, one older than the other. once him and jungkook got engaged, they decided to adopt another boy from the nearest center.
sangwoo, age 5, was the cutest little boy they'd ever seen and it made things infinitely easier that him and jae got along fairly well when they visited the adoption center. both boys rock on the balls of their feet as they wait for jungkook to come around.
"taetae, woo and i wanna see the house." jae smiles, revealing his missing front tooth and it's such an endearing thing to see. he fixes the black headband on his face that it meant to keep the hair from flying around but all it does is make his forehead warm.
taehyung leans down on his knees to get to their level. "once daddy opens the house we can go in. he's just making sure everything looks good before we see." he grins when both boys nod, so easy to handle, and he picks up sangwoo to walk over to the newly furnished house.
they left the city. it was high time that both boys take a break from the lifestyle and the memories that came with that area of seoul. so after jungkook had proposed, they secured a house in the korean countryside. it was a good distance from the bustling life they were used to but close enough to have the important people over from time to time.
the three boys walk along the crunchy gravel to the impressive house in front of them. sangwoo on taehyung's hip and jaewoo holding taehyung's hand. the raven haired boy still worked for seokjin's company, he just worked from home instead of going to the office, meaning he would be home 24/7.
taehyung, however, was still pursuing art and he was fucking amazing at it. he secured an atelier in the next town where he could work privately and continuing making those beautiful works. sometimes jungkook would come in, maybe serve as a model or distract the older enough to make a mess of things.
it didn't matter. any time spent with the doe eyed boy was enough for taehyung.
a cheesy, lovesick grin broke on his lips when jungkook peered out from the front door of the house. he mirrors taehyung and the boys run forward to see him, practically tackling the younger with their hugs and kisses. he falls to the ground and laughs at their actions, taehyung can't help but watch in joy because this is his life now.
the taehyung four years ago was miserable. his parents didn't care, he lost one of his best friends and the only guy to ever really pay attention to him couldn't even give him the time of day. whenever he woke up, it just felt like another 24 hours till the next and it was exhausting.
but when he met jungkook, he brought light to his life. maybe it was the sparkles in his eyes or that blinding bunny like smile that made taehyung lift from his bleak life. he loved him, he loved him so much and now, they were complete.
taehyung reaches the doorstep of the house, the little ones trickling off once they saw jungkook looping his arms around taehyung's waist to bring him closer. they observed their surroundings and each other in content.
the younger's hair was shorter, that cute e-boy style was gone but thankfully taehyung was convincing him to let it grow back out. his fingers had some tattoos, a crown and a letter v for taehyung's art name 'vantae'. but he was still the same old jungkook from the beginning.
