smiling at the ground while he walked, taehyung blasted music through his airpods as the events from yesterday and the day before replayed in his mind like they were reels on a tape.
the last thing he ever thought would happen to him was that he'd have to fake date some guy he barely knows just to get out of marriage. but taehyung isn't saying that it's a bad thing.
the younger was doing a surprisingly good job at playing the boyfriend role. the aunties asked about him any chance they got, welcoming jungkook in like he was the newest baby in the family. everyone loved him, except for his step mom, sooyeon and jiyung of course. but they were nearly impossible to please, especially his step mom.
he didn't think he'd enjoy this arrangement as much as he is. jiyung rarely ever tried anything, his parents weren't up his ass about getting married, everything was getting better. the only downside was having to actually fake things and taehyung didn't know how much longer he could hold in his butterflies whenever jungkook does anything boyfriend-like.
taehyung adjusted the straps of his gucci bag in between his fingers, wondering why he said yes to his uber to drop him off so far away from his house. he had just finished a photo shoot and the older craved some food and a long nap to ease his exhaustion.
today was the day that jungkook was supposed to help him with his art project. the idea came to him last minute as he watched the couple leave jungkook's apartment. then taehyung remembered that the assignment was due soon and he hasn't even started it. so, he asked jungkook who thankfully said yes to helping him out.
god, what am i even going to paint?
taehyung's art project was simple, he had to take pictures with a model centered around some sort of theme that has something added to it. the theme could be anything but his professor had high standards and wouldn't settle for some amateur pictures of jungkook with paint on him. taehyung had a black light and some special paints at his apartment, but that would mean something space themed and wasn't that a little tacky or overdone?
ugh-it's the only idea i have right now. it'll do.
taehyung walked onto the pathway towards his house, trying to think up of other things to paint onto jungkook, only to stop in his tracks when he saw jisoo on the steps before his door. her body was slumped to one side as she mumbled about something, clearly very drunk. the older groaned inwardly when he realized what the date was.
on the third saturday of every month, the women in the kim family threw a brunch party and the invite list was rather exclusive. only people in the general circle were allowed in and even then, kim hyuane made this list so small that it would cause rifts between friend groups.
and this time, the soon to be park jisoo scored herself an invite. probably thinking that this was her chance to be accepted by the snobby socialite women.
food was brought in from the best brunch places in seoul as the women dined and gossip among each other and forget basic social norms. taehyung hated these brunches, usually finding some excuse to get out of the house, as it always ended up in a bunch of drunk middle aged women lounging around the house for hours and laughing at absolutely nothing at high decibels of volume. thankfully, he got his own apartment now so he doesn't have to deal with it.
her head shot up before taehyung could discretely sneak past her and inside his house for some food. jisoo pointed at him and laughed a little at the black haired boy's shocked expression.
"hey! it's jungk-kungjook's boyfriend", she slurred, attempting to get up but falling onto taehyung sloppily. the boy rolled his eyes, her fancy perfume filling his nostrils like a poisonous gas. he wanted to shove her off of him so badly but that would be rude and he could literally feel the auntie's eyes on them from the window near the door.
