Billie's POV
Today would of marked three years. I miss her. I sighed walking into my house. Everything still reminds me of her.
I searched for something to eat. My phone buzzed bringing me out of my daze. "Hello?" I asked. "Hey bils. Want to come over for dinner?" Finneas asked "sure. When?" "In an hour maybe." "Okay. I'll be there."

I walked into Finneas house. "Hey. Glad you came." Claudia said. I smiled softly. Finneas walked over and hugged me. "How are you?" He whispered. He led me to his studio. I sat down and sighed. "Fine. I miss her." I said. "I know you do." He said. I played with my fingers. "I ran into her the other day." He said. I looked at him. "How is she?" I asked. "Good." He said. I nodded. He sat next to me. "You should reach out to her." He said. I shook my head. "I doubt she'd talk to me." I said. "You never know." He said.

I walked back into my apartment. I fell onto my bed and turned my tv on. My mind went back to y/n. Before I knew it I was texting her.
Y/n: hey. I hope you're doing okay. I was wondering if you wanted to meet for coffee. I miss you.
I sighed and sat my phone down and rolled over and stared at the empty spot next to me. Life without y/n is empty

Y/n agreed to meet. I was nervous yet excited. I wanted her back. That was never gonna happen but I can hope. I got dressed and headed to the cafe.

I saw her sitting at a table with a coffee. She smiled when she saw me. I smiled back and say down. "Hi." I said. "Hi." She said. Silence surrounded us. "How have you been?" She asked. "Fine. You? How's your photography business going?" I asked. "You remembered." She said. "Of course." I said. She smiled. "It's good. Overwhelming. How's touring?" She asked. "Fun. Tiring. Stressful." I laughed. Silence fell onto us again as she sipped her coffee. "Why did you message me?" She asked. I looked at her. "I miss you." I said. She sighed. "I honestly don't see why we broke up." "Because Billie. You were way too busy. I never saw you. When I did see you- we fought the entire time. It wasn't healthy." She said. I dropped my head. "Where did we go wrong?" I asked myself. "I never regretted any of it. It sucks we fought at the end. Especially since I thought we were gonna make it." She said. I sighed. "Y/n. I still love you. I never stopped loving you." I said. She sighed. "Billie. We will never work." She said. "You don't know that!" I said. "But I do! The last six months of our relationship was proof." She said. "But we have both grown in this last year. We could make it this time." I said. She sipped her coffee and stood up. "Billie. This isn't healthy. I'm sorry but we can't be together. Please try to forget about me. Take care of yourself please." She said leaving. I watched her walk away. Tears streamed down my face. After a few moments I got into my car and drove home.

A few weeks had passed and I never left my apartment. I stayed in the same spot all day. Finneas finally came and checked on me. "Billie. You need to get some fresh air." He said. "I rather die." I said. He sighed. "Look I know you love her but you need to move on. This isn't healthy." He said. "Leave." I said. He threw his hands up in defeat. I curled into a ball.

Another week had passed and I was woken up with someone beating on my door. I got up and looked to see y/n standing there. I opened the door to see her cheeks flushed and eyes puffy. She had been crying. "Can I come in?" She sniffled. I nodded. She walked in and we stared at each other until she spoke. "I love you billie." She whispered. "But?" I asked. "I need you. I can't do this alone." She said sobbing. I wrapped my arms around her and she cried into my neck. I pulled her to the couch. I let her cry and I rubbed her back softly. She pulled away. "I'm sorry." She said. "Don't be." I said wiping her tears away. She sighed. "I'm sorry for the other day. I feel the exact same way. We should of never broken up." She whispered. I looked at her. "I missed you everyday. I cried on our anniversary." she said. I frowned. "I did too." I said. "Can we start over?" She asked. I nodded. "I can't live without you." I said. She grabbed my hands. "We'll make it this time." She said. "We better. I won't survive if we don't." I said. She kissed me softly and the emptiness slowly started to fill. I pulled her closer as she pulled away to look at me. "I love you." I whispered. "I love you too." She said with a small smile.
