You knew Billie was back in town. You didn't care. She tried to text you and call you, but you never answered. You honestly knew that there wasn't a thing she could say for you to take her back.
"I'm not staying out late." You told your friend as you approached a mutual friends. "Okay. I'll stay here tonight probably." She said. "What are we doing?" You asked. "Making pizza and watching some movies. Ya know. Girls night." She laughed. You nodded. "Welcome ladies!" Your mutual friend said. "Hey." You smiled.
Throughout the night you felt like you didn't belong. You didn't. You had nothing in common with these girls. I mean you did with your best friend but with the other five you didn't. You sat there staring off while they talked about boys. You thought about Billie. Which was the last person you wanted to think about, but you were so bored. You didn't want to leave yet since you had only been there an hour. Your phone buzzed and you sighed. "So y/n how are you and Billie?" A girl asked. You shrugged. "We aren't together anymore." You said. "Why?" She asked. You looked at her. "Why do you care." You said back. She pursed her lips. Your friend nudged you. "Ignore her." She whispered. You rolled your eyes.
Once they started movie you were getting sleepy. It was about half way through and you stood up and excused yourself to the bathroom. You did you business when the door opened. "So why were you rude to me earlier?" The girl asked. "Do you always barge in on people?" You asked shaking the water off your hands. She blocked the door. "So why did you and Billie break up?" She asked. "Is the only reason you asked me to come over was to question me about Billie?" You asked. She gasped. "No! I honestly didn't know who you were. Y/f/n begged me to invite you." She said. "Well if you move out of my way I will leave." You said. "Well I still want to know about you and Billie." She said. "Why does it matter?! You don't know me! Why do you keep asking me about my relationship with Billie?!" You yelled. Your friend came into the bathroom. "Can you please move her so I can go home?" You said to your friend. "What the hell is going on." She asked. "Just casual conversation." She said. Your friend dragged you out of the bathroom. "I'll see you later." You said to your friend. The other girls watched you leave in silence.
Once you got home you laid in bed staring at the ceiling. You moved in with your best friend until you found a place of your own. Billie came flooding back into you mind. You groaned. You didn't understand why everyone wanted to know about her. Your dms were flooded with questions. You rolled over and saw your phone light up. It was Billie. You reAched for it and you slide to answer. You held it up to your ear. There was a sigh of relief. "Before you hang up or say anything please let me get this off my chest." She said. "Y/n. I am so sorry. I fucked up. I know. Believe me I know. I don't know why I did it but I did and I'm so sorry. I've beaten myself up everyday since. I can't breathe the anymore without breaking down. I honestly don't want to be here." Her voice started to crack. "I just hate myself so much for hurting you. For getting upset with you. I know you'll probably never forgive me and I guess I'm gonna have to start learning to live with that. I guess I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for giving me the best year of my life. Even if I was a bitch toward the end. Just know you did nothing wrong. It was me. All me. The fights. Me cheating. You gave me everything I could ever ask for and more. I love you y/n. I will always love you." At this point you were silently sobbing. "Billie-" you choked. "God. It feels so good to hear your voice again." She breathed. "Where are you?" You asked. "Home." She said. "I'm coming to you." You said hanging up. You rushed out of the house and to your car. You whipped it into drive and sped your way to Billie's.
Once you got there you ran to the door. You were still crying. "Billie!" You yelled banging on the door. She opened it and you fell into her arms. "I love you too." You choked. "I am so sorry." She said. You two held each other for what felt like years. She pulled away and you looked at her bloodshot ocean eyes. "I forgive you." You said. "I'm still hurt but I believe you." She wiped your cheeks. "I love you." She whispered. "I know."
You were sitting on Billie's bed. "So why did you do it?" You asked. "I honestly don't know. I blacked. I don't remember how she got there or when until you called me." She said. "You could of stopped." You said. "I know." She said. "It was like my brain and my body were fighting with each other. I wanted to stop but my body wouldn't." She said sitting next to you. You looked down. "I wasn't okay mentally before either. We were fighting a whole lot and I guess my body couldn't take it. I spiraled. " She said. "I'm sorry for being a bitch about some things." You whispered. "You have nothing to apologize for." She said. "Let's just forget it and move on." You nodded. "Now let's go to bed. I'm exhausted and I haven't slept great in a while." She said. You crawled underneath her blanket and situated yourself into her arms. "Goodnight Billie." You whispered. "Love you y/n." She said kissing you softly. You laid your head in her neck, breathing in her scent and fell into a blissful sleep.
