A/N: Jay has a million great looks, but him in his patrol uniform with the sleeves rolled up in season 5, episode 6, is by far one of his best.

Walking into the district felt like a breath of fresh air. Most people would think that spending everyday working in the same building as criminals and finding dead bodies would be a horrible way to live your life, however it's quite therapeutic. I spend my days surrounded by people who have worse problems than me, it keeps me sane, I can't feel sorry for myself because I'm too busy worried about other people. Some would say that's unhealthy, I say it's productive.

I give a bright smile to Sergeant Platt, who thankfully doesn't ask me about the paperwork I haven't even looked at. She buzzes me up without a word and I make up to my new unit. I make my way to my desk, not missing the side glance I get from Adam as I pass by, followed by him getting smacked upside the head by Atwater, who not so quietly says, "Not another one bro." I try my hardest to keep from bursting out with laughter and by the look Jay is giving me, I think he heard too.

"Good morning again," He says quietly in my ear as he passes by me. Heading over to Upton's desk. My heart starts beating faster in my chest and I take a second to compose myself. Trying forget last night didn't happen. Wait. Nothing happened. He just slept on my couch after making sure I got to bed ok, but that was after he watched me cry about my father and I completely lied to his face. But yeah, nothing happened.

Voight pushes open his office door, "Hudson? You got a minute?" I nod before making my way into his office. He shuts the door behind us. "How's you father?" He asks as he takes a seat in his chair.

"Uh, he's fine." I lie through my teeth, putting on a fake smile. "He was just really dehydrated and my sister freaked out, he's ok." He takes a second to respond like he's processing the information.

"Okay, just let me know if you need anything, you can leave it open." He says gesturing to the door. I stand up and head out of his office, making sure to leave the door open. Jay gives me a questioning look, but I give him an assuring nod, letting him know I'm okay. Voight comes bounding out of his office, definitely on a mission. "Victor Quartez." He says, slapping a photo up on the board. "We believe that he is the second in command to our kingpen of the sex trafficing ring. We have 3 murders that connected to the ring, Maria Paso, Viola Alvarez and Ava Rodrigo, all 18, all shot execution style. All 3 girls went missing from little village sometime in the past 5 years, along with 8 other girls around their age. Our theory is that they target young girls in their early teens and pimp them out until the age out at 18. Victor has a long rap sheet for assault and did 10 years in stateville before going almost completely underground for the past six years." I nod along with him, trying to rap my head around it all.

Antonio stands, continuing where Voight left off. "All eleven girls that we know of had one thing in common. Victor Quartez, they all visited his restaurant within' 3 days of their disappearance, which should be enough to take him into custody, but there was no evidence that pointed to him directly. We think that Victor spots out the girls and contacts his boss for confirmation, and his boss orders the kidnapping. Now, none of these girls have been seen since they disappeared, so, whoever Quartez is working with has the ability to keep everything in house."

"Two of the other girls who were taken are nearing their eighteenth birthdays, so time is ticking," Hank states. "These guys are already working so far underground that if we spook them, they will completely vanish from the radar. I want eyes everywhere Quartez goes, on everyone he talks to, I want to be able to hear every call he makes. Nothing slips past us, we are taking them down. Boots on the ground now." Voight says as he disappears back into his office.

"You down to go check out his restaurant?" Jay asks as he walks up to my desk, "We can try to find a way to bug the place."

"Yeah, just let Voight know the plan, I'll meet you at the truck." He nods before heading to Voight's office. I make my way towards the stairs, I'm almost out the door when I get a text from Annie.
