( CHAPTER NINE )

"Jonathan!" Hailey screamed out, running through the dark woods. "Jonathan!" Her voice was echoing. She runs frantically past trees in the other dimension. "Jonathan, I'm right here!"

"Hailey!" She heard him and Nancy called. "Hailey, come on!" It was distance and it echoed.

"Jonathan, where are you?" She panics and she comes to a stop, looking around desperately. "Jonathan! Jonathan, I'm right... I'm right here!"

"We're right here!" He called out back to her, but she couldn't see them.

"Jonathan!" Hailey cried out, she wanted this frighting nightmare to be over with.

"We're right here, Hailey!" She heard Nancy call out her name desperately. "Just follow our voice!"

"Jonathan," she cries, her voice breaking and continued to run towards his voice.

"Follow our voice, Hailey, we're right here!" She heard Jonathan call, her hands were shaking as she followed his voice. White particles float around her as she pauses and tried to figure out where his voice was. "Hailey!"

Her head turns and she was faced to the monster creature spots her, her mouth hung opened and she lets out a gasp. She turned around and ran in the opposite direction. "Hailey!" She heard Nancy yell out.

Hailey hides behind a tree, breathing heavily. Hailey holds still against the slimy tree as the monster passes behind it. Hailey covered her mouth, trying to steady her breathing, her whole body was trembling with fear.

Her face clenched in terror. "Hailey! Follow my voice!" She heard and she snapped her head towards a nearby tree, it was the opening she had come through. Her head jerks the other way, hearing the monster screech. "Hailey?"

Hailey took a deep breath before running towards the tree, taking her chances and she pushes through the closing in tree. She reached out a hand. "Jonathan!" She cried out desperately and she felt something pulled on her hand on the other side.

"Hailey!" He yelled out and he and Nancy pulled her out of the trunk and she was screaming and crying. They had pulled her through into her world and she lets out another cry, as she was piled into Jonathan and Nancy's arms, they were both holding onto her, watching the tree's hole close.

"We got you," Jonathan assured her as she sobbed into them, her body shaking against theirs.

Hailey had finished taking a shower at the Wheeler's house. Many flashbacks later, she had hopped out of the shower quickly, she had washed all the slime off her. She had borrowed some of Nancy's PJs.

She had been offered to stay the night at Nancy's, she didn't say no. Hailey didn't think she could be alone and Nancy didn't want her to be alone either, after what had just happened.

Hailey changed into the PJs and dried her hair using the towel. Hailey shakily walked into Nancy's bedroom, Jonathan and Nancy looked up from the bed they sat on, giving the girl a sympathetic look.

"Better?" Jonathan asks and Hailey nods slightly. Jonathan had rolled out a sleeping bag for Hailey to sleep on, he was going to leave the girls when they went to sleep.

"Yeah," Hailey weakly lets out. Jonathan glances at the sleeping bag.

"Is this okay?" Jonathan asks her. "Nancy and I found in the closet."

"Yeah, its fine," Hailey whispers, nodding. "Thanks, guys."

He gave her a small smile. "Night, guys," the two girls gave him a 'night' back and Jonathan leaves them in peace. Nancy got into the bed and Hailey went to switch the main light off.
