Chapter 9: Let's chat...

"Spill. Your. Guts. Lancaster!!" Asa practically shrieks.

"Calm you girl-mones, Asa. We haven't even reached the door yet," Lissa says.

Ally ushers everybody into our dorm and I deliberately take my time walking in and sitting down on our dorm floor in a circle with the rest of the girls.

As soon as I sit down Ally says two words: "Charles, now!"

I tell them what happened when Charles bought the chocolate.

Asa and Ally scream and shriek after every syllable I utter and Lissa can barely veil her excitement either.

I tell them about Deyton's entrance into the story.

"I do not care that he's Andy's Daddy. That man needs a lesson in giving teens some privacy," Asa says.

"He really did spoil a special moment..." Lissa starts.

"Your very first kiss!" Ally finishes. "Jackass" she mumbles under her breath and we all voice our agreement at the adjective she used.

"Word is that he's dating Cherise," Lissa says with a satisfied look as she plates some hot gossip.

"They seem like polar opposites though," Muses Ally.

"One is a huge jackass and the other is a sweet, beautiful lady. How in the world did they find each other? There is only one word for this guy:-" says Asa

"Jackass," says Ally and Asa at the exact same time. I've gotten used to their triplet thing but this is still an eerie experience!

"Nope, ladies, Lissa speaks the truth. Cherise Hutton is dating Logan Deyton I heard it from the Headmistress herself," I say.

"What? Tell us all about it!" screams Asa.

"No, stupid, she first has to finish her Charles Story the she can tell us 'bout Cherise and Logan," says Lissa.

"Quick question before Kris carries on," Ally cuts in, "how did you know Lissa?"

"A great gossip queen doesn't reveal her sources," says Lissa while she blows on her nails and wipes them on her school shirt.

"But a sister-" Asa starts.

"And friend," I chime in.

"Better reveal her sources," Ally finishes for the three of us.

"It's nothing special, though. I just heard them flirting in the hallways while I went to the restrooms and figured the Cherise+Logan+Flirting2=Dating," Lissa says with a shrug.

I then finish my Charles story.

All of the triplets come in with their 'Ngcaw!' and 'That's so cute!' comments.

Then I launch into my less interesting story about my "chat" with the Headmistress.

"OK. Now we shall be going to my dorm while you obediently sit here and wait for us to return," Asa says to me.

"Why in the world would I do that?" I ask.

"Because you're a good little girl," Ally coos.

"And because we have a surprise for you," Lissa says with a wink.

"OK," I grumble, "but only because you're giving me what I hope is an awesome surprise."

The three of them quickly scurry away leaving me to watch the non-existent paint dry.

The door suddenly bursts open and I am shocked to see the intruder. I should have guessed it though. Only one person barges into our room without so much as a knock: Andy.
