heyyyy y'all it's me again, becky, how ya all doing?

anways, i love youtubers an awful lot. they have inspired me to become more confident within myself and they generally cheer me up a great deal because i enjoy watching them and i'm sure millions of you out there do too.

recently, they've become a huge part of my life and looking back, i really don't know how i survived life without them because they've become like my virtual best friends, as silly as that sounds. i've grown to love and adore them and appreciate their existence and be thankful for the day they decided to press record and i decided to press play.

zoë sugg, alfie deyes, joe sugg, casper lee, marcus butler, niomi smart, tanya burr, jim chapman, louise pentland, gabby lindley, lucy + lydia connell, bethany mota, connor franta, troye sivan, tyler oakley, andrea russett, lauren riihimaki, eve bennett, you name it, i mostly likely watch them.

like my closest friends, they make me laugh, smile and generally happier when it seems like all is lost. they help me to see good in people and in the world and i love them so much for that.

so what pisses me off so much is when people say; 'oh i hate that zoella girl, she's so attention-seeking and annoying' or 'i hate youtubers, they're so boring and self-centered' when in reality, they haven't even watched a single sugg damn video or vlog. like seriously, you have to have an actual reason to loathe them, otherwise you're practically hating on a stranger.

besides, you can't just form a good enough judgement if you've only read a magazine article or have heard someone else's opinions. they're not the actual people, you have to watch/read their content (and a lot of it) to make a fair judgement, it's not difficult!

not forgetting, they are still human beings behind that camera lens and they definitely still have feelings. sometimes life under the lens can be stressful, but it is worth it because they enjoy it. even so, they don't need your hate on them for something they choose to do. if you don't like them, fine, that's okay, it's your opinion. but just leave their instagram, twitter, youtube channels etc alone.

understandably, they get thousands of messages a day, mostly from admiring fans/subscribers. you might think that's it's considerably unlikely for them personally to ever see any negative things you have to say about them, but believe you me, it is most definitely possible.

so just don't. think before you type/speak/write whatever. would you like whatever negative thing you're saying to them, to be said to you? i highly doubt it so just don't, yeah?

also, don't hate on youtubers because of their sexuality. that's a definite big fat no. seriously, does it really matter if tyler or troye or connor is gay? it doesn't affect you so no, it doesn't matter. they're still human beings, there is nothing wrong with them. so please don't be homophobic, just accept people for who they are and move on, get on with your own life.

and so, the whole message of this rant was to not hate on people without knowing them first. to be completely honest with you, the whole idea of it is utterly pointless, inconsiderate and a waste of time and effort. don't waste your breath on something that could hurt someone, it's not worth the satisfaction of getting to someone.

if you have ever hated on someone, whether that's virually or in real life, please rethink your actions, they do have consequences and can cause people to feel insecure within themselves and generally upset.

just remember, do and say to others how you would like to be treated yourself.
