Chapter 11: Feelings and Hurt

Everest slowly walked towards Marshall’s bed, and Everest got on top of his bed, looking at his Expressionless and Motionless face, and she let out a sad sigh.

Everest: Marshall, Hey.., I Know that Chase can hear me when I say this, but you can’t, but I don’t mind, because I may never get the chance to say it to you ever again, so.., Here it goes…,Marshall.., I-I have always s-sort of.., Liked you, and I mean, more than a friend, you are cute, talented and very funny, I always liked your clumsy attitude, and what I want to say is… Please Don’t leave me.

Chase just smiled when Everest confessed her love to Marshall in front of him.

Chase: Awww.

Everest: Shut up Chase! (Slightly Blushing)

Then, to Everest’s shock, Marshall literally grabbed her paw, and smiled at her.

Marshall: I heard everything you said, Did you really mean it?

Everest couldn’t believe that Marshall was now alright, just talking to her.

Everest: Of course Marshall! I meant every word of it.

Marshall and Everest then rubbed nose to nose, which made Chase smile at the new couple.

Chase: I’m really happy for you 2!

Marshall: Thanks buddy! 

Just then, Skye walked into the Room.

Skye: Hey Guys, Marshall! I am glad your okay, and Everest, can you leave me and Chase alone for just a few minutes.

Everest: Ok, but you 2 won’t be alone, because Marshall can’t leave this room, he still needs to rest.

Skye: (Sighs) Fine.

And with that, Everest left her best Friend and the Room, as Skye approached and hopped on to Chase’s Hospital bed.

Skye: Hi, How are you doing?

Chase: I’m doing Good, and you?

Skye: I’m doing great, knowing that you’re alright.

Marshall smiled.

Marshall: Aww.

Chase did feel his heart warmed by Skye’s words, but Chase somewhat suspected his crush, because she had been, for the past few hours before the accident happened, on her own, and Chase knew he couldn’t let his Guard and suspicions down. Skye then started touching Chase’s forehead with her paw.

Skye: I was really worried about you.

Chase: Were you? (A bit Suspicious)

Skye was surprised that Chase asked her that question.

Skye: Of course I was Chase (Confused at his question), You don’t believe me?

Chase: How can I trust you?

Skye knew now where this was headed.

Skye: Do you really think, that I am the one behind all these Accidents? (Now starting to get upset)

Marshall knew that the situation was heating up, and Marshall tried to calm them down.

Marshall: Hey Chase, look man, we don’t know if it is her, you can’t just make a false accusation without any proof.

Skye: Marshall’s right, what happened to you Chase, you used to be a really good Detective.

Chase: Well then, why are you always around me so much, maybe all you wanted to do was take my spot.

Skye gasped at Chase’s answer, and was now boiling with anger.

Skye: Do you Seriously think, that I tried to poison myself to trick you guys, and that I tried to kill all of you!? You know what Chase, if that’s how you feel about me, then fine, just don’t talk to me ever again, because our Friendship is done!

Skye then stormed out of the Hospital room, Everest and all the others saw Skye running, and she was crying on her way out of the hospital.

Everest: Skye, What Happened?

Skye didn’t reply to her best Friend, and she just left the hospital and got into her Helicopter, and left for the Lookout.

Zuma: What was that about?

Rubble: Yeah, I’ve never seen Skye cry like that.

Everest: I’m going to talk to Chase and Marshall.

Meanwhile…

Chase immediately felt really bad for what he said at Skye, he couldn’t believe Skye’s words when she said that their Friendship was done, and Marshall was just shaking his head at Chase.

Marshall: Seriously Chase!? That was very Mean of you to say, You really hurt Skye’s Feelings.

Just then, Everest stormed into their Hospital room.

Everest: What Happened!? My best Friend ran out of here crying so much! What did you guys do!?

Chase: Well, I may have accused her of being the Bad pup.

Everest: You what!?

Then, to both Chase and Marshall’s shock, Everest literally, slapped Chase across the face.

Everest: You just hurt my Best Friend, now if you excuse me, she needs comforting.

And with that, Everest left the Room, Angry at what Chase had done, and she stormed out of the Hospital too, and got into her Snowcat Vehicle, and drove away, and Ryder gave Katie the Signal, and Katie followed Everest’s Snowcat towards the Lookout.

Meanwhile, Chase just started crying like a child in his bed.

Chase: (To Himself): Ugh! Stupid, Stupid! What have I done!?

Chase was very upset at himself, he had a Crush on Skye since day one in the PAW Patrol, and always liked her, and Skye just proved by her actions there, that she wasn’t the bad Pup, and because of Chase’s False Accusations, Chase knew that he lost a very close Friend.
