MANILA

One month na ang nakalipas mula ng umuwi siya from Cebu. One month na rin na hindi sila nagkakausap ni Marcus. Hindi niya na sinasagot ang mga tawag nito maging ang mga text messages. Iniwasan niya na ito. Si Ms. Cabral na lang ang kinakausap ng secretary niya regarding sa contract nila. Inayos muna nila ang mga papers na need nila especially the legal parts.

Madz: Hi Girl! How's your stay in Cebu? You had the deal closed?

Cataleya: Let's say, 50-50? Well, walang problema sa kausap ko, it's just that, they want me there.

Madz: What do you mean??

Cataleya: They want to as Operations Manager until the Franchise is stable.

Madz: Wait? Franchise?? I thought investor ang kausap mo??

Cataleya: Yah. Same, all along I thought, they just wanted to invest, but, then it turned out na the money they'll invest in our company will be used for Franchising our shop there in Cebu. At alam mo ba kung saan itatayo??

Madz: Saan???

Cataleya: Sa Hotel. Exact hotel where I stayed. That's why, somehow I considered the offer.

Madz: Eh bakit 50-50??

Cataleya: Well, again, they are asking me to stay there, iniisip ko tong Manila. Sabi ko, maghire na lang sila ng iba dun, and willing naman ako i-train if they want, but then, bakit daw maghahire pa ko, kung pwede namang ako na lang. Kaso, ayoko iwan tong Manila, I mean, this was my first Cecilio's. Parang ang hirap iwan.

Madz: Cat, it's not as if papabayaan mo na tong sa Manila, why not just have someone act as OM while you're not here?

Cataleya: Sorry, but I don't know if I can trust my people enough, well, you know me right? I have trust issues.

Madz: Eh nandito naman ako eh, ako magiging mata mo, pati ba sa akin wala kang tiwala?

Cataleya: Madz, it's not that. Don't get me wrong okay, but, iba yung trabaho mo dito, hindi mo gamay yung sa operations, baka mamaya ang dami na palang problema, pano mo marereport sa'kin eh di mo naman area yun.

Madz: Hello?! Para saan pa't related ang work ng asawa ko sa work mo, remember, sa kanya ka nagpapaturo dati nung nagsstart pa lang tong Cecilio's?

Cataleya: Oh My! Oo nga, ba't di ko naisip yun? HAHAHA Haaay! Good idea!

Madz: Mukhang madami kang iniisip ah??? Hmmm? Is there something you're not telling me??

Cataleya: Ha? Wala. Stressed lang. Anyway, ganto, I'll let Mr. Cruz act as OM while I'm away, but you need to supervise him. May tiwala naman ako sa skills niya, but, you know, I still have doubts about everyone. Patawag ka ng urgent meeting mayang lunch. I need to talk to them.

Madz: Yes Madam, masusunod. I'll contact the restaurant na rin for our food for our meeting.

Cataleya: Okay, thanks. See yah later sa meeting.

MEETING:

Cataleya: Hello everyone! So, this is an informal meeting, let's make this quick. I just want to make an important announcement regarding our investor from Cebu. As some of you here knew, I was in Cebu last month I had a meeting with the possible investor which turned out to be a possible franchise. Since it will be our first franchising, the investor wants me to run it as OM, so I'll be staying in Cebu once the deal is closed. But nothing to worry, it's a sure deal, it's actually my decision they are waiting. But they are already starting the set up of the shop. It will be put up in a Hotel, so it's a big shot for us. So please, I want your full cooperation while I'm away. Since I'll be gone for a long time, I'm assigning Mr. Cruz to act as OM, but ofcourse, Mr. Cruz, with all of my approval first, you have to call me from time to time. Is that clear?
