I kneeled down to get Jeremy away from the bloody mess ignoring what Stefan had said and everything else that was happening around me.
"Jeremy we need to call for help!" I said panicked and turned around to realize Stefan was gone. I then remembered blood made him queasy.
"No, I'm not letting go of her!" Jeremy said ready to cry and in that moment I realized my brother was in love with Vicky Donovan, I envied him for a second but then wondered if I would ever get that.... with Stefan? It felt strange to think about being in love with Stefan, it made me feel at peace, safe and loved but there was something missing... and I couldn't quite figure it out. Sherif Forbes has arrived along with the ambulance, they quickly got to work.
"What happened here?!" Sheriff asked, she was always so kind, she was Caroline's mom and had taken care of Jeremy and I when my parents died while Jenna went through the process of becoming our legal guardian.
"I- were not sure, I wasn't here when it happened, Jeremy must have found her..." I said.
"Clara, were gonna take Jeremy along with us to ask him some questions, I'll have him home by tomorrow..." she said and smiled and I nodded, I knew it was what Jeremy would want too. Now I needed to figure out a way home. Everyone was starting to leave and I couldn't find my friends, so I decided to start walking home. The forest was large and the trees towered over me, I was frightened when I heard a whoosh sound.
"Hello?" I asked sounding like an idiot talking to the trees.
"Hey lost girl, what happened to your date?" A man asked and I quickly turned around to find Damon standing in front of me.
"You need to stop doing that.... and I don't know, a girl was attacked and there was blood so Stefan must have left.." I said shivering. I couldn't quite see with all the darkness but I could see Damon's blue eyes roaming around my body, I cleared my throat.
"What are you doing out here at this time?" I asked.
"You're freezing, put this on" Damon said putting his black leather jacket on me, I could see the outline of his toned body under his white t-shirt.
"T-thank you" I said nervously.
"I heard about the accident and I came to see if Stefan was still here, and I found you wondering around the woods, figured you didn't have a ride home. I can take you if you want" he said.
"No, it's fine. I don't want to be a burden" thinking how I had just met him.
"Who said you'd be a burden? Come on, I'll even take you to get a proper meal at the Mystic Grill? I swear I won't kidnap you Clara.." Damon said as if that was supposed to convince me.
