Vincent said he needed time to find a solution for getting the hollow out of Hope, I had been helping him with looking into ancient books and grimoires, anything that could help Hope. Hope has only grown worse these last two weeks since we found out about the hollow. She's been in bed this whole time, Klaus by her side at all times.
"I don't know what to do, everything is useless, nothing talks about the hollow..." I said closing a book and putting it back in its bookshelf. Elijah came behind me and massages my shoulders. I rolled my neck and moaned.
"You've been so stressed out, let me help you. I dislike seeing like you this." Elijah said as he continued to massage my shoulders. I didn't know how to let him help me, I couldn't even help me.
"I just feel like everything I'm doing is useless for her, she's in pain.... there's nothing I can do to take it away." I said. Hope was my life and I couldn't protect her, I felt helpless. He kissed my head and I closed my eyes and leaned into his embrace trying to forget what was happening.
"She loves you and she knows that if you could, you would take the pain and keep it for yourself Clara." He said in attempts to make me feel better. I sighted and got out of my chair.
"I'm gonna go see Hope." I said and vamped out of the room. I felt bad because I knew Elijah had nothing to do with this and yet it's almost like I was taking out my stress on him. I opened the door and found Freya laying next to Hope and Keelin was on her other side.
"Feeling any better?" I asked as I sat at the end of the bed. Hope sat up and came into my arms. I hugged her tight and twirled her hair.
"I'm feeling better mom, but are they going to find what's wrong with me?" Hope asked and I smiled.
"There's nothing wrong with you Hope, you're just feeling a little under the weather, that's all." I said trying to comfort her. She smiled and I could tell she knew the truth.
"Mom, this is because I'm a witch, isn't it?" She asked and I sighted. How do you tell an 8 year old who's trying to live a normal life that the reason she's sick is because she has an evil spirit in her?
"You don't have to worry about anything, I'm going to fix this, I promise." I said and I kissed two of my fingers and placed them with hers. Freya and Keelin smiled and I could tell they wanted to have a child of their own, I was given the opportunity of experiencing motherhood thanks to Hayley and it's something I'll be eternally grateful for. I stepped outside the room to find Klaus sitting down in the living room. He rested a stressful hand on his chin.
