After that day Jennie's album shot up on the charts along with 5sos' seconds album. Jennie was no longer an opening act so the band and Jennie went on their own tours throughout the year but through the missed calls, fights from a timezone away and rumors of one cheating on the other, they came together at the end of it all and laughed about it all while cuddling in their apartment they decided to rent out for when they're taking time off.

Jennie and Luke stuck together through it all and very publically showed how much they loved each other. They became Hollywood's 'It' couple with Luke's loving glances on red carpet events and Jennie writing beautiful songs about her highschool sweetheart. Everybody loved their story, their history and although the media gave Jennie grief for her drug addiction and haitus from the spotlight while in recovery Luke still stood by her side along with the boys and her fans.

By age 20, Luke requested that Jennie make up with her mother to prevent anymore pain by her last words. It took a good year of convincing but with Luke by her side, Jennie agreed.

"Jennie?" Her mother spoke with tears threatening to spill over almost instantly at the sight of her daughter all grown and standing at her door.

"Hi, mum." Jennie smiled gripping Luke's hand tightly for support. He gave her a light squeeze to show he's here and not leaving her alone. Luke knew Jennie could do this, she's been through so much, this is simple yet he understands why she's reluctant.

"Please, come in. Do you want coffee? Tea? I could make you a snack?" The women questions stepping to the side to let Jennie and Luke enter the house.

Jennie polietly denies her mother and asks that they sit and talk. A beat of awkward silence hangs over the three as Jennie and her mother try to decide where to start.

"I was wrong." Jennie's mum is the first to speak catching Luke and Jennie's attention. "I was wrong about what you're capable of, I was wrong about you being better off as a lawyer or some dead end job that paid well enough for you to support yourself. Your fathers death made me realize a lot of things and I realize that I love you no matter what you do as a career. I see you on stage, you're amazing, you always look so happy and I see the way your fans support you. Even after.." She trails off giving jennie a look that said she heard about her drug problem but didn't want to mention something so senstive.

"Well thank you.." Jennie nods slowly trying to decide if she could trust this women after she's lied so many times before. That's what hurt Jennie, your mum is supposed to be the most honest, loving and accepting person in your life but her mother has been anything but that.

"I love you, Jennie. And I hate not having my daughter in my life, I'll be better. I've been taking clases and such. I'll do whatever it takes to be back in your life, I'll even-"

"Mum," Jennie laughs lightly shaking her head. "I came back to fix this. I didn't want to grow up without a mother and I refuse to lose you like I lost dad."

The smile that grew on her mothers face was contagious enough for Luke to smile at his beautiful girlfriend. He was so proud of her, putting the past behind her and accepting her mother while agreeing to work on their relationship. It was a big step and showed how proud he was by taking her hand making her look over to him. He smiles giving her a small nod and Jennie knew that was his way of telling her she's doing a good job.

She was thankfu to have someone like him.

Jennie and her mother worked on their relationship and over time it became bulletproof. She accepted Luke and could even see how much the boy loved her daughter which made her kick herself for not seeing that sooner.
