Chapter 2

"Good night."

Giyuu lays down on his bed. He barely can even sleep. At times like these he'd usually have cried himself to sleep, but something else was on his mind.

Something was preventing him from sleep.

His heart was racing, and he was gripping on the sheets. Pupils shrunk, and ever wide open. Everytime he blinks he remembers...

"Sister! Don't die!"

"S-Sabito...?"

Visions, the visions in his head. The deaths of people who were close to him. Older sister, and Sabito.
'If they hadn't met me, then they wouldn't have died.' he told himself then fear turned to sadness and regret.

"I'm sorry..." he muttered to himself with tears on his eyes then moments later, he falls asleep.

He wakes up the next morning, sitting up from his bed. He went to the wall and listened through it.
The sounds of Aoi and the others, chatting.
He woke up late.
"Damnit." he whispered then pushed himself away from the wall. He'd then go and take a morning bath.

He sat on the calming warm water, looking at the mirrored surface he noticed his dark circles and red eyes that made it obvious that he cried.
He sighs "I can cover it up with some powder, but... It'd still look like I cried. It can't be helped." he adverts his focus and gets out of the tub.
He arrives in his room with a sigh of relief that no one spotted him on the way there. He changes to the proper uniform and puts on the powder. He'd look at himself on the mirror and pushed his lips upwards.

"Smile, Tomioka."

Knock, knock
"Tomioka..." a familiar growl can be heard through the other side of the door
Giyuu looks at the door and hesitates to open it "Shinazugawa, what's your business here?" "Get out of that room right now!"
"Please don't disturb Giyuu, Shinazugawa!" Aoi pulls on his arm in hopes of dragging him away from there but her strength was not enough for him to budge, so the trio help Aoi but it still wasn't enough. "Tch," he pushed them and they stumble down "weak." Giyuu hears their groans from the other side and so he got angry. He slid open the door swiftly and looked at Sanemi with a smile that covered his eyes "Please do not hurt them." "What do you know about my brother?" "Brother?" Giyuu thinks about it for some moments "Oh, Genya Shinazugawa, Mizunoto rank is i-" "Damnit!" he stomps the flooring "That kid did really become a demon slayer huh..." he muttered aloud which was enough for everyone to hear. Giyuu goes to the four and helped them up. "That kid's dead." He stomps away "He's gonna hurt hi-" Aoi comments but before she gets to finish her sentence Giyuu covers her mouth "Don't say anything."
