24- s. hitoshi

lights up.

"CAT CAFE" you shouted excitedly when shinso asked you where you wanted to go. he rolled his eyes but smiled. "yeah sure sure," he mumbled as you dragged him to the direction of the cafe. when you entered, you were surprised to see aizawa located at the farthest corner of the cafe, 4 cats all over him. a white cat is on top of his head, a gray one on his lap, and the other two, both black, are resting at either side of him. you pretended to not see him and you and shinso sat down. almost immediately, a white cat with blue eyes meowed at you while a black one with violet eyes meowed at shinso. you both ordered and started to play with the cats.

"the cat was so cute i already miss it," you sighed and shinso chuckled. "we'll go back another time," he slightly messed your hair. he then realized what he did and he turned away mumbling shyly, "if you want, that is." you chuckled going in front of him. "im lucky to have you shinso-chan," you smiled at him brightly which made him look at you in surprise before smiling back softly. "where do you want to go next?" he asked you as he tugged you closer to him, placing his hand at the small of your back and leading you to walk. "i don't know. why don't you pick this time?" you asked him back and he tilted his head, thinking. "let's go then," he held your hand tugged on it leading you to who knows what.

you and shinso stopped and took a deep breath as you reached your destination: an almost deserted part of the city with not much houses. you sighed, breathing in the fresher air and sat down on the grass next to shinso. "this is pretty," you commented, looking around. you spotted an abandoned playground, a couple jogging, and a small thin river with a tree near it's bank. "what are we gonna do here?" you asked shinso and he looked at you smiling. "be patient. here hold this," he gave you a branch that if vertically held, will look like a tree. "hold it up when i tell you to," he mumbled and you nodded.

a few minutes later, as the sun set, few small lights shone. at first you thought they were stars but as they slowly moved to the big tree, you realized what they are: fireflies. "this is awesome," you looked at shinso who was now staring at you, secretly fond of your awe. you blushed and flashed him a small smile. "thank you for taking me here," you told him and he smiled. "it's not done yet. hold up the branch i gave you," he instructed and you did. suddenly there were some fireflies migrating to your direction. you freaked out. "shinso--" you turned to his direction just to see nothing. you then felt a hand holding yours steady. "stay still" he whispered on your ear and so you did. the fireflies made the branch look golden and lit up. after some time he left your side and came with snacks. you decided to tuck the branch safely in your backpack and ate with shinso, observing the fireflies, before he walked you to your house.

"thank you shinso. i enjoyed today," you told him as both if you reached your home. "hitoshi." he mumbled. you tilted your head in confusion. "call me hitoshi instead," he sheepishly said and you smiled. "ok hitoshi. see you on monday," you told him as you pecked his cheek and walked into your home.

"if i dont know him and if i had no trust on that boy i would have flipped," your father, aizawa, groaned as you hugged him. you chuckled. "aww, i love you dad," you told him as he hesitantly wrapped his arms around you back. "i love you too, lil n/n," he murmured as he smiled.
