the fallen saw you. the fallen pitied you.
his red eyes saw the angel who fell, amusement in his eyes but when he saw the mark, he was surprised.

you woke up to the smell of pancakes and soft rays of sunlight hitting the cherry blossom tree beside your window. you stretched and got ready for breakfast. "katsuki," you hugged him from behind. "good morning brat. how was your sleep?" he turned to you, making you let go of him, and kissed your forehead. "fine," you mumbled while he took the pancakes. both of you went to the table and ate peacefully.

"y/n," you hummed in response, looking at him curiously. "i saw you fall," he mumbled. you tilted your head. "and?" "and? that's it? why did you let yourself fall?" you shrugged. "katsuki.. it was a long time ago. besides, i'm with you now right?" you munched on the small slice of pancake. "you sinned and fell. i sinned and fell. see? that's how angels are dear," you mumbled and he sighed. "don't you miss your wings? the golden years? i know you loved flying" you rolled your eyes. "that was way before tsuki, years ago already," you murmured. "do you remember your sin?" katsuki's voice caught an edge. "i still blame myself for your fall. for your sin. for-- for you losing your position as an angel," he deflated though he was still eating his pancakes.

you chose not to answer him for a moment and spilled your answer once he looked like he calmed down enough to think through your words rationally. "i chose to commit the sin, katsuki. i chose to be here with you and i don't regret it," you softly said. you urged his eyes to meet yours. "besides, don't you think this life is pretty good?" you smiled at him. he then softened visibly. "don't blame yourself dear. remember: i will never regret my decision and neither should you. okay?" he nodded and you ruffled his hair. "you're cute," you mumbled, teasing him. "NO U-- I MEAN WHAT NO IM NOT" his face was annoyed while you giggled at him.
