Chapter 16

I wake up remembering the kiss between Peter and I last night I smile to myself. I get ready for school and Happy takes me to school.

I see Peter in the hallway and I smile at him. I can feel my face heat up. I walk over to him "H...hey" he stammers with his hands in his pockets. "Hi" I say smiling I don't know what to do. Are we dating? Are we still whatever we were before but just kissing now?

My thoughts are interrupted by MJ and Ned. "Hey guys" MJ says I wave and smile. Ned greets us and we say hi back.

The day goes as normal until lunch time. I sit at my usual spot but Peter takes MJ's spot which is right next to me. That's kinda weird he usually sits next to Ned but I don't mind.

MJ sits in Peter's usual spot across from me. Ned and MJ give Peter a look. Do they know something I don't?

I eat my lunch like normal then Peter holds my other hand I can feel the pace of my heart quicken.

"What's going on with you guys?" Ned asks I almost spit out my food I pull my hand away from Peter's. I see his expression change out of the corner of my eye.

"What do you mean?" I ask swallowing my food "You guys are acting all weird" Ned points out "There is nothing going on between Peter and I" it hurts me to say it. I can see Peter looking really sad "I um I...I have to go" Peter says he gets up and leaves. Shit.

I throw my lunch away and I follow him "Peter" I say because he is ahead of me "Peter" I say again he ignores me. "Peter!" I yell he turns around "What?" He says with attitude ouch.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that" I say "It's fine" he says then starts to walk away again I run up to him and grab his wrist. "I'm sorry Peter" I say he looks at me he nods and starts to walk away again. Why did I do that?

He turns around and look at me "I just need a minute" he says then continues to walk away. I frown and I walk into the girls bathroom.

I pull out my phone and call Happy "Hey Happy can you please come pick me up?" I say about to cry "Sure kid what's wrong?" He asks "I don't want to talk about it right now" I say I hang up the phone. I look in the mirror and stop myself from crying.

There is an announcement over the P.A. system calling me to the office. Happy picks me up and we go home as soon as we get there I run to my room and start crying.

"I'm so stupid" I say in between cry's. After a few minutes I calm down and wipe the tears from my eyes. After a while I fall asleep thinking about the mess I caused.
