Chapter 5

I wake up sweating my ass off "Hey friday turn on the ac" I say grumpily getting out of bed. I get dressed and straighten my hair.

I walk out into the living room to see Natasha sitting on the couch. I wave to her "Hey Mia you're never up this early on a saturday" she says I sit next to her on the couch "Neither are you" I chuckle.

"Fair point who is he?" She asks "What are you talking about?" I ask "Your dad told us you were bringing a boy over. He told EVERYONE so now we all have to keep an eye on you." She says I laugh.

"You think somethings going to happen between me and Peter Parker? That's so funny I can't even laugh" I say.

Natasha gives me the side eye "Don't get me wrong he's a sweet kid and he's pretty cute I guess but I would never date someone my dad worked with it would be way too awkward because if someone happened between him and my dad I would be in the middle and that would be way to much conflict for me to deal with" I say leaning back on the couch.

I get a snapchat its from Peter telling me he's outside I look at the time and it's already noon.

I go outside then I see Peter and Happy. Before I acknowledge Peter I walk up to Happy. "Did he give you any trouble?" I ask and he just grunts I laugh. "Kids these days" I say and get Happy to crack a smile.

I walk over to Peter "Hey Parker follow me I will give you the grand tour" I say the last part in a funny accent earning a laugh from Peter.

I show Peter around the tower and introduce him to some people then the final stop is my room.

"The final stop on the grand tour is my room the place where I contemplate every decision I've ever made" I say showing it off.

"Why the hell is it so hot in here?" He says taking off his sweatshirt and holding it. "That's what I was saying this morning! And you can set it down on that chair over there" I say pointing to the chair in the left corner of my room next to my balcony.

"Is that your guitar?" He asks I nod "Can you play something?" "Sure but I'm a bit rusty so sorry if I mess up" I say I pick up the guitar and sit on my bed.

I strum a few strings to get used to the feel of it again. "I'll do Ocean Eyes by Billie Ellish it's basic but I know it well because I had a Billie phase" I say.

I strum the last cord and finish singing "Mia that was literally amazing I wish I could play guitar" He says in awe.

"Honestly its not that hard I can teach you" I offer "Wait actually?" He says "Totally" I say.

I place the guitar in his lap and adjust it so he's holding it correctly.

"The four basic chords are G major,C major,D major and E minor. So for G major place your fingers like this and strum" I say adjusting his fingers.

He strummed "Yay you did it ok now do it a few more times and get used to your fingers playing that chord then we will move on to the next" after around thirty minutes Peter is able to do the four chords.

"Yay! You did it! With these four chords you can pretty much play any song" I say then there is a knock on the door.

Pepper opens it "Hey guys we are ordering pizza what do you want?" She asks "Pepperoni" Peter and I say in unison. "This is why we are friends" I say looking at Peter and he laughs.

"Ok pepperoni it is I will come get you when the pizza is here" Pepper smiles and closes the door.

"Is that your mom?" He says cocking his head to the side "My step mom" I say.

"Oh ok. Where's your real mom if you don't mind me asking?" He says "She passed away when I was five they found a tumor in her brain and it turned out to be stage four cancer. There was nothing we could do." I say looking down at my hands.

"I'm so sorry I shouldn't have brought it up" he says "No its fine its nice to talk about her every once in a while" I say smiling.

"If it makes you feel any better my parents died in a plane crash when I was four. Then my uncle was killed in a robbery a few years ago so now its just me and aunt may" he says I frown and hug Peter.

He hugs me back "What was that for?" He asks after I pull away from him "Sometimes you just know when people need a hug" I say giving a sad smile.

"Kids pizza" Pepper yells "FOOD!" I scream I run out to the kitchen and grab Peter and I's pizza before everyone else takes it all.

I hand Peter his plate "Thank you" he says I nod Peter and I sit at the dining table then Natasha sits on the other side of Peter and Thor on the other side of me.

I eat my pizza and listen to the babble at the table. After we eat I put my plate in the sink and Peter does the same.

We go back into the room and talk for a little bit about random things. "Lets play 20 questions" I say facing Peter "Ok you first" he says.

"Favorite color" I ask "Red" he says "Favorite disney movie?" "Big Hero Six" I reply.

"Um favorite restaurant?" "Delmar's" he says "Where is that at?" I ask "Queens, close to my apartment I will take you there sometime" he says.

"Ok favorite memory" he adds "Um when I was ten my dad,Pepper and I we went to this ski lodge in Colorado. I was Skiing down the kids slope and I didn't like I was alone on the kids slops. So I look over and see my dad and Pepper skiing next to me so I wasn't by myself" I say smiling.

Peter's phone buzzes "May wants me home" he says "Oh ok I'll walk you out" I say.

We walk out of the tower together "Bye Peter" I say waving and smiling "Bye Mia" he says
