We stayed at the mountain for quite a while. We cooked together, we ate together, and we slept together, beating the cold throughout the night.
Was there really a reason to be anywhere other than this mountain that the both of us resided upon?
It was peaceful, and a good life.
That's the thing though.
Despite the risks, this deaf girl wanted to travel the world with me.And I agreed.
And so after many weeks of preparation and exercise happened, we were ready to go.
We weren't able to see anything but wasteland up to the horizon, but we didn't care.
The climb down was a long and grueling journey, but the most important part was that we made it.
And when we travelled, in our eventual settlement, we would make it again.
She grabbed my hand, embraced me, gave her wonderful smile, and pointed to the sun.
We're gonna do this.
