Chapter 3: Emma
I sat at the lunch table completely baffled by what my best friend had said.

"You should have seen luke. It was like dancing on that table was meant for him. And totally like he had experience in doing so," Kennedy explained mentioning the party from the previous friday.

"Yeah that women's bra looked like it was meant for him too," Levi proclaimed, wiggling his eyebrows. At this, Toby's Gatorade shot straight out of his nose while he laughed. His twin buckled over, laughing at him till he started choking on his own food. Idiots.

"I heard that," they said in unison, sending a shiver up my spine. I had realized I was thinking out loud.

"Cut it out you two, that is so creepy," Griffin said, smacking them both in the back of the head before sitting down at our table in a huff.

"By the way, great game cap," he added, giving me a fist bump, mentioning last Friday's game. Till I remembered him. Use your f***ing guide arm and maybe you will actually hit your target. I thought of the "tip" that was thrown at me from that guy. Those words have haunted my whole weekend. Whoever that guy was, he knew what he was talking about. My form has been the one thing coach has been trying to drill in my head the last three years. Notice I said trying. I had the power, the height, the jump, but never the form. My guide arm was the root of my problems and even this guy was able to pick up my imperfection and how it affected me. What stuck onto me like a leech about this whole situation was that he looked so familiar like I have heard of him or seen him. I don't know.

The fries on my plate drew me out of my thoughts. Till I realized, half of them were missing. My eyes darted up, analyzing every person at the table and searching for the culprit. When my eyes trained on Drew, his eyes flickered away from mine in guilt.

"Dreww.." I hissed at the guy in front of me. He squirmed under my penetrating stare. I snatch the pizza slice off of his own plate and take a massive bite. I chew in victory as the twin pouts, his arms akimbo.

I eat half of the pizza and put it back on his plate, instantly missing it. What can I say, I love food. I hear griffin mumble "pig" under his breath and I instantly glare at him. I glance down at his entre of quesadillas on his plate in which his face cracks. He covered his food with his arms and shot me his pleading puppy dog eyes.

"Aurora, please don't demolish my food too." I wince under the name he uses.

"You can call me Rory," I started not trying to come off as harsh, but I did. Oops. He mutters sorry and eats his food. I throw on my earbuds blasting my favorite Tame Impala album Currents. The lyrics of Eventually pull me from reality, from my thoughts. I swear music is completely overwhelming. Goosebumps rise up in my arms sending a tidal wave of euphoria through my body. But I know that I'll be happier. And I know you will too. After I am done with my food I get up to dump my trash not bothering to pause the song.

When I return to the table I see brown curly hair taking over my seat. I glare at the guy and his confidence to take what is mine. I stomp over glaring at the Arctic Monkeys band tee hugging his lean yet muscular body. I have to give this guy credit for that. I shake my head to bring me back to the problem at hand. My friends look up at my stern expression and their eyes widen. I slowly tapped the guy's shoulder who was looking at his phone. He ignored me. That has been happening a lot to me lately. I tap again with more force. I hear a scoff and the guy turns.
