Chapter 7: You have to sing it.
"Aurora I don't know if I can do this." Weston said with fearful eyes. Levi's helmet sat sloppily on Weston's head, as he stood shakily on my board.

"Well you can't turn back now," I said, gesturing to the huge hill in front of him.

"Ready," I ask. Holding onto his back. The muscles under my hand tense and contract.

"No." I laugh at him, pushing him forward down the hill. "Too bad."

He yells as he rides down the hill occasionally shaking from the speed or turning to one side of the road. But he always recovers, straightening out. I ran down the hill once he reached the bottom.

"Well? How was it?"

His face is filled with happiness. It was the best I have ever seen him. His face had a sparkle in his hazel eyes that I wish I could see more often. It was breathtaking.

"That was amazing..let's go again let's go again!" He quickly says grabbing my hands excitedly and pulling me up the hill. This time I am going with him. We ride down the hill together with my two best friends, till the sun goes down. It's moments like these that make me love life a little more.

"It's game dayyy!" I yell at my two best friends and Weston. Since the other day the four of us have all hung out a lot. It's been great because Weston has been going along with it, slowly becoming friends with my friends.

"Alright, don't be one of those girls." Levi pleads as he stuffs his face with his Crunchwrap.

I do the same. "It's a joke, but it iss game day, the theme is red white and blue. It just sucks because I don't get to dress up the way you guys do." I pout.

"Yeah but we can't get away with wearing your little booty shorts." Kennedy adds.

"They are spandex." I correct her.

"And no one is complaining," Weston says jokingly with the stupid smirk he likes to wear. I hit his arm playfully, but only because I don't really know how to react to a compliment like that.

"Anyways..I think there is an after party/cookout at Izzy's. Are all of you coming?" I honestly love the party scene, not to get drunk, I learned that the hard way, but just because it's fun. Hanging out with your friends, dancing around to stupid music, cracking up to what ever my dumb and drunk peers decide to do.

"Gotta pass, you know I hate parties." Kennedy shoots me a sincere smile.

"Yeah me too, sorry Ror...but only because I have a date." Levi gleams at everyone.

"With who!?" Weston joins in.

"A college guy, but he is only a freshman so not too big of an age difference."

"Do we know him?" I ask.

"Well yeah but I can't tell who until he is comfortable with telling people his...preference." His once happy look goes blank.

"Oh god! Lev! You can't just tell us something like that then not tell us who he is!" Kennedy pleads.

"Sorry guys, I promised." His face was apologetic.

"It's fine, but still that's exciting!! So happy for you." I really was, I was just nervous. The last time he went on a date with a guy it turned into a 6 month, yet completely hidden, relationship. Only for the other guy to end it with him because he said he 'still had a thing for girls.' It was terrible because I was left to pick up the pieces after Levi gave that guy his whole heart. That's Levi's problem, he loves so much that he forgets to love himself. The relationships become so one sided after all that. It's like the great book I read one time said, "People accept the love they think they deserve." (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) Levi is guilty for doing that. I hope this time it's different.
