I wasn't believing that I was finally talking with Mike. We were laughing together on his couch and just a few hours ago he was avoiding me.
"What do u want?"Mike said
"I just want to know why this morning u were avoiding me."
"I wasn't. U're just the new girl and everyone was avoiding u."
"Nah. That isn't true, 'cause I had lunch with Tyler, Anthony, Caleb, Anne and Ashley."
"Well. I wasn't expecting that. I'm sorry, I hope that we could still be friends."
"Yeah, of course."
"I have an idea, do u want to go to the woods with me?"
"What,are u serious?"
"I' m dead serious. Tonight I'm picking u up, ok?"
"Ok, well see u later Sinclair."
"See u later List."
3 hours later
I was waiting Mike at my place, I was so nervous. In that moment he knocked on my door. I opened the door right away and he was so hot. I never fell for a guy so much. I feel like he is different from Nick.
"Do u wanna come or what?"
"Yeah, I'm coming."
We went in his car. It was dark outside and very cold. Silly me, I didn't take a jacket.
"U're freezing, do u want my jacket?"
"I...."
Before I could say something he puts his jacket on my shoulders. It smelled like him, I closed my eyes and I got carried away by the cold wind until we arrived.
"I got a flashlight, in case we aren't alone."
"U kidding me, a flashlight?"
"I'm full of surprises."
We both laughed at his stupid joke. After we walked for minutes that seemed hours, we sat on the cold wet grass.
"Can I ask u a question?" Mike said
"Go ahead."
"Where are your parents?"
The only question that I didn't want to hear.
"They... They are dead, a car accident." I said.
"OH, I'm so sorry, I didn't know. "
" Nah, it's fine, u didn't know. It was all my ex boyfriend fault. He was drunk and he just destroyed my family. "
" Can I ask u a question?"
"Go ahead new girl."
"Are u in relationship with one of the mean girls."
"No, we just go out sometimes ." Mike said.
That hurt a lot, even if we aren't dating that hurt a lot. I just hope that we are going to be great friends.
"I love the stars, they are full of life and hope." I said
"I think that too."
We decided to lay down a little bit.The wet grass touched my hair. We watched the stars and then we both closed our eyes.
