Chapter 21

Jimin tried. At least he thought he did.

He smiled at Adora and tried to make small talk during the moments that they pass each other by in the company. Other than that, he made sure to stay clear from the places he knows the producers usually frequent to minimize interactions with her so it's all good.

Except it's not.

He still can't help but feel irritated whenever Yoongi brings her up in conversations. His boyfriend clearly is so impressed with her skills and is excited whenever Adora submits her work that he can't help but share them with Jimin not noticing the sour mood the dancer develops whenever the topic is her.

Jimin also can't help but feel jealous whenever he drops by Yoongi's office or studio and there she is giggling beside her boyfriend or just looking at him with so much admiration.

So what does he do? He tried to 'mark his territory' so to speak. He began to drop by his boyfriend's office or studio several times in a day to bring snacks or just to say hi. And whenever Adora was there, he made sure to flirt with Yoongi in front of her. Yoongi appreciates the frequent visits but not the flirting often reminding Jimin in private to keep it professional inside the company. If they are alone it's fine but not if other staff are present. This frustrates Jimin even more.

In Yoongi's defense, he really does not see Adora as anything but his junior. And he has asked Jimin several times if he has some issues he wants to talk about but Jimin always denies it. So he just makes sure to remind Jimin that he loves him, that he is perfect and that he would never hurt him hoping it's enough to ease whatever's troubling the dancer's mind.

But unfortunately it's not.

And one day, Jimin just snapped.

On that fateful day, Jimin went to the Genius lab to deliver coffee thinking Yoongi was alone. They have been busy these past few days so he was hoping to steal some quality time with his boyfriend at work. However, upon entering he saw Yoongi sitting on his chair in front of the screen while Adora was standing behind him slightly bending to see whatever Yoongi was showing her. When Yoongi turned his head towards Adora their faces were so close one would think that they were about to kiss.

Jimin, unable to control his jealousy anymore, shouted at her.

"Get the hell away from my boyfriend, Adora!"

Before anyone could react, Jimin threw the cups of coffee he was holding to the floor, grabbed Adora by the shoulders and pushed her away from Yoongi making her bump against the wall.

"Jimin! What are you doing?", Yoongi yelled as
he scrambled to make sure that the new producer is okay as Adora began to cry quietly confused as to what she did wrong.

Jimin was stunned for a moment but when he recovered he realized what he just did.

"Oh, my gosh! Adora! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you! Are you okay?"

While Jimin was apologizing another voiced boomed inside the room.

"What the hell was that, Park Jimin?!"

Jimin turned around and was shocked to see an angry Namjoon and a confused Pdogg, one of the senior producers in the company. Oh no!

Jimin couldn't do anything but to blubber out apologies to everyone present.

Yoongi sighed and went over to his boyfriend upon making sure that Adora was okay and tried to calm Jimin down.

Namjoon then went over to Adora to check her. Once he deemed that she was not harmed in any way, Namjoon threw a sharp glare at Jimin and announced that they were going to the clinic to have Adora checked.

"Then we're going to the HR's office to file a report. I can't let this kind of behavior pass, Jimin.", Namjoon said sternly.

"We'll be there in awhile, Namjoon.", Yoongi assured his bestfriend and co-CEO.

Once everyone left, Yoongi guided his boyfriend to the couch.

"What's going on, Jimin? What was that all about?", Yoongi asked Jimin harshly.

"I'm so sorry, Yoonie. She was just standing too close to you and I thought you were going to kiss her so I just...", Jimin couldn't finish his sentence as he kept crying in his hands.

"Why would you think that? How many times do I have to tell you? There is abosolutely nothing going on between us! What else do I have to do to prove that to you? I thought you trusted me, Jimin.", Yoongi said clearly hurt.

Jimin dared to look at Yoongi and was crushed to see him look so disappointed. For a moment he was at a loss for words.

"Come on. Pull yourself together so that we can go down to the HR's office.", Yoongi broke the silence.

"What will happen to me?", Jimin asked afraid.

"I honestly don't know. It's just your luck that Namjoon was here to witness everything. You know he would never tolerate that kind of behavior.", Yoongi answered in a cold voice.

Jimin wiped his tears and braced himself for what's to come. He stood up as he followed Yoongi out of the studio hurt that the older did not even wait for him or offered his hand.

This is it. He lost Yoongi and it's all his fault. On top of that, his career is now on the line thanks to his irrational thinking.

He is so screwed.
