Nova's POV:
I was walking down downstairs for breakfast.
"Hey Nova" Payton said walking down the stairs behind me. "Hey" I responding turning around to face him once I reached the bottom.
"I have a question" Payton asked. "Shoot" I responded.
"You don't have to say yes, but Riley wanted to know if you wanted to come over and hang with us" Payton asked.
"She wants me to come over?" I asked confused. "Yeah" Payton nodded. "Sure but when?" I asked.
"Right now" Payton chuckled. "But I'm hungry" I pouted. "We can get Chick fil a" Payton smiled.
"I'm broke" I said. "I'll pay for you" Payton smiled. I smiled back.
"Lemme get dress first" I said walking back up the stairs and into my room.
I went upstairs and just threw on a outfit and put my hair into a ponytail. Then I made my way back downstairs to see Payton on his phone.
"Ready to go" Payton asked looking up from his phone and stuffing it into his pocket. I nodded my head and we headed out the door.
We blasted music and just jammed out. Payton went through the drive-thru to Chick fil a and ordered some breakfast for both of us.
Then we continued to Riley's house.
Once we made it there we got out of the car and walked up to the doorstep. Payton rang the doorbell and we waited.
After about 20 seconds the door opened revealing Riley with a big smile on her face.
"Hiiii" Riley said cheerfully pulling me into a hug. "Hey" I chuckled hugging her back.
She then pulled away and went over to hug Payton.
"I missed you babe" Payton smiled hugging her. "I missed you too" Riley smiled pecking Payton on the lips.
It was kinda awkward but then they pulled away and Riley leaded us into the house.
We walked in and went to her room. It was really nice, it was clean and organized.
"Whatcha guys wanna do?" Riley asked. I shrugged my shoulders. "We could go for a walk" Payton suggested.
"Sure but where?" Riley asked. "Anywhere" Payton said. "Okay" Riley smiled.
We stood up and headed back out the door.
Honestly I don't know why I agreed to come with Payton to Riley's.
I'm literally just third wheeling. Payton and Riley are holding hands walking, while I'm behind them walking by myself.
We kept walking for like 45 minutes. We ended up just talking about random things and laughing. I was actually enjoying it.
We made it to this field things and Payton and Riley wanted to take pictures for Instagram.
I didn't want to take pictures but I didn't mind taking pictures for Payton and Riley.
First they were taking pictures separately but then they wanted to take pictures together. They started posing all 'couple like.'
And for the first time, I actually didn't mind then being together. I mean I still love Payton with my whole heart, but seeing his this happy, I would never want to take that away from him.
I mean it hurts to see but what can I do? He chose her, not me and he's happy, the end.
There's no other way to explain it. Payton's right I do need to find someone new, I need to move on.
