Nova's POV:
Skip 2 weeks
I opened my eyes up to the sun shining through the window.
I immediately closed my eyes a groaned. I swear mornings are the worst part of everyday.
After a couple minutes I opened my eyes and got out of bed. I got up and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and brush my hair.
Then I went back to my room to change into just a hoodie and leggings. After I sorted all that out I decided to make my way downstairs for breakfast.
I was about to go down the first step when I heard Payton and Faith talking.
"She said she's going to collage soon and doesn't want to do long distance" Payton sobbed.
"Couldn't she of at lease come over and break up with me in real life, like she broke up with me over text" Payton continued.
"What do I do? I don't even know what to do with myself anymore" Payton cried. Faith pulled him into a hug while he sobbed into her shoulder.
Riley broke up with Payton? What the fuck. Because she didn't want to do long distance, without even at least trying? That's pathetic.
I decided to go talk to her. I continued down the stairs and straight out the door. I ordered a Uber to come pick me up.
Once it was here I told them where Riley's house is.
It was about a 20 minute drive. Once we arrived at Riley's house I paid the Uber driver and headed to Riley's doorstep.
I rung the doorbell and waited a couple seconds for it to open revealing Riley.
"Out, now" I sternly said. She looked confused but she stepped out of the house and closed the door.
"You broke up with Payton?" I asked. She stayed silent. "Riley." I said sternly.
After a couple more moments of silence she finally spoke up. "I didn't want to do long-" I cut her off.
"Then tell me why the fuck you decided to commit to a relationship with him?" I asked.
"I love him but-" I once again cut her off.
"No you don't love him. If you loved him you would've fought for that relationship. But no, you had your fun then once your relationship was faced with an obstacle you quit on him" I complained.
"He loved you so much, he was so happy with you. You acted like you were happy to, like you really cared. But obviously you don't" I scoffed.
"You broke his heart, and that's the worst feeling ever" i finished. After that there was a moment of silence.
"Why are you even complaining?" Riley exclaimed. "What do you mean why am I complaining? He's my best friend, I want him happy" I said.
"No, I see the way you look at him, I see the way you look at us when we're together. You don't like it. Guess what we're over, you can have him now!" Riley said raising her voice.
"I don't want him just because you aren't with him. He loved you, he was happy with you, happier than he ever was with me, can't you see that?" I said.
"I just want him to be happy. Even if it's not with me. Yeah it breaks my heart, but I just want him happy and he was happy with you" I said tears pricking my eyes.
"That makes no sense? You want him but you don't?" Riley asked. I groaned, she doesn't get it.
"Riley. I love him. I love him with my entire heart. But if he doesn't, I can't do anything. He's my best friend, I want him to be happy. He was happy with you and you just broke his heart" I said as a tear escaped my eye.
