Chapter One - New Jersey

Chelsea POV

Today is the day when everything is finally going to go back to normal. I'm going back to New Jersey to see my best friend Sevanah and tell her about my dark past. New York wasn't what I expected, but how could it be any good when I was with Valentino.

As I'm packing my bag to head to the airport, I look around the small apartment I once called home.

New Jersey hasn't changed at all but what was I expecting? I only left for a few months to study photography. Wheeling my luggage out to the exit, I saw my best friend waiting for me. I immediately dropped my suitcase and ran into her arms. I miss her!

"How was your flight?" Sevanah asked while still hugging me.

"It was okay, I'm just exhausted," I said while putting my suitcase in the boot of her car. 

"Would you like me to drop you home or do you want to come to my house, nobody is home because Alejandro has a soccer game and my parents are working," Sevanah said while getting into the driver's seat.

"Let's go to yours so we can catch up," I said while putting my seat belt on. I think Sevanah knew I was exhausted so we just listened to Don Toliver in silence.

When we arrived in Sevanah's driveway, I immediately went inside to her bedroom so I can lie down."I thought Valentino would be here as well?" 

Sevanah asked while coming into the room. I immediately gulped and my palms became sweaty. I could no longer lie to her as I have been lying to her since I left New Jersey.

"We broke up," I said softly

"How come, do you want to talk about it?" 

She said while looking at me. As I was about to answer Mattia, Kairi and Sevanah's twin brother Alejandro came into the room.
