Chapter Twenty One - Formal Dinner Pt 1

Alejandro's POV

Today was the night I get to take Chelsea to a formal dinner, I couldn't wait to finally get our soccer medals. What I could wait is seeing Cleo and Alex together I still can't believe she was cheating with one of my close mates. I got dressed in my suit and did my hair nicely, I couldn't wait to see Chelsea in a dress. I always imagined her in a dress but defiantly not a formal dress.

Kairi and Sevanah were all dressed up and they left for the venue already and I still needed to do my hair so I said I would meet them there. Mattia went to a girls house to get ready as he managed to find a date last minute.

I quickly got ready as I didn't want Chelsea to wait for me, I jumped in the car and drove myself to the venue. When you walked through the double doors you were greeted by a photographer with a backdrop that has Passaic Valley written all over it. "Can I take your picture sir?" the photographer asked. "I will come back when my date is here," I said and he nodded and took a photo of a couple that just walked in. I opened the next double door and music was blaring through the large black speakers, tables set up nicely with white table cloths and serviettes folded under the gold cutlery. I looked around and I couldn't see any sign of Chelsea which was weird. I hope she's not blowing me off. What if she only said yes because I pressured her?

"Hey, where's Chelsea?" Cleo's obnoxious voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"She's coming." She walked away with her hands on her hips. Her dress is so revealing I shook my head and just sat down with Kairi and Sevanah.

"Where's Chelsea?" Sevanah asked.

"She's coming, why did you lash out at her yesterday?" I asked.

"She lied, you know how I feel about liars." She said and crossed her arms. I never knew what she lied about, I did know she told Sevanah that we kissed. I hate coming in between their friendship but I seriously want Chelsea all to myself now. I checked my watch and realised I have been sitting here for an hour and the soccer presentations are just starting now and I knew deep in my heart she wasn't coming. My heart ached and I don't understand why. I looked around the table and see everyone having a great time with their date. Sevanah made eye contact with me and she seemed to sadden for me, I just turned my attention to the speaker.

"Alejandro." everyone cheered, I don't know what award I just won as I wasn't paying attention but I just accepted it and received a medal and my trophy, I looked down and it read 'most improved player.' I smiled. I went back into my seat and Kairi and Mattia tapped my shoulder and congratulated me.

Sevanah randomly disappeared which was weird for her. Once the presentation was over I went on the dance for with half of the boys and Cleo came and started dancing with me. "Congratulations." She said while smiling at me she smashed her lips on me. I kissed back but still felt no spark and I could think about was Chelsea. I pulled back and looked at her but immediately kissed her back much harder as I needed to get Chelsea off of my mind considering she has no interest in me, I mean if she did, she would have come tonight and she could've been the person I would be kissing right now.
