Chapter Twenty Three - Life Saver

Sevanah POV

I had to leave the dance to see whether Chelsea was okay, it's not like her to not show up without a text or an explanation. I drove past her house and saw Valentino's car and immediately pulled on the side of the curb one house down so he doesn't see me through the window.  

I grabbed my phone and dialled 911 and called for the police as I was about to press the call button, I heard a massive scream from Chelsea's house. I knew she was hurt, I couldn't help but have tears in my eyes. 

"911 what's your emergency?" 

"I need police to come, my friend is in her house with her abusive ex-boyfriend," I said while letting my tears out. 

"What's the address?" 

"4th Curry street Wood Cliff Lake." 

"Police are on its way stay on the line." the operator said. "Is the ex-boyfriend armed?" she asked. 

"I'm not sure but I have been hearing screaming so I assuming shes hurt, I will check for you through the window," I said while unbuckling my seat belt. 

"No ma'am don't approach the house, I repeat don't approach the house." I didn't bother listening to the lady who was talking to me on the other line. My best friend's life is in jeopardy and I needed her to come out alive. I slowly peeked through the window and see Valentino's back towards the window and I see Chelsea on the ground clenching her leg in pain and I see a knife on the ground just behind where Valentino was standing, I grabbed my phone towards my ear and Valentino turned around, I quickly hid next to the window, I prayed I didn't just get caught by Valentino. 

"He is armed with a knife and blood is all over the floor, we are going to need an ambulance as well," I said to the lady. 

"They are both on their way, shouldn't be far now." It feels like I have been waiting for the police and ambulance to arrive for a century. Every second that goes by makes me even more nervous. I see two cop cars and an ambulance come and the cops immediately surrounded the house in bulletproof vests and their guns out. I walked behind the paramedics as they need to get to Chelsea before I do. 

"POLICE, drop your weapon and get down on your knees and your hands up where I can see them." The cops all said. One of the police officers kicked the knife away from Valentino. 

Valentino slowly got on his knees and his hands up, the police officers arrested him and took his out of the house. The paramedics were looking at Chelsea very closely she was crying in so much pain. They took her into the ambulance and I followed them in my car not knowing any answers and what's going on with her. 

I immediately called Kairi and Mattia but I couldn't get ahold of Alejandro which was strange as he's nearly always on his phone.

I'm in the waiting room waiting for any information about Chelsea. I told mum what has happened she was trying to get ahold of Alejandro but he still wasn't picking up. Kairi and Mattia are both here just waiting to hear any news about her. 

I went up to the receptionist which felt like the one-hundredth time in the past our just asking whether they have heard anything and all I get is "we will let you know." I messaged Alejandro once again to keep in the loop but I still didn't get a response. 

"Was Alejandro still at the dance?" I asked the boys and they all shook their heads. 

"We assumed he left because Chelsea never rocked up," Mattia said.   

"I'm sorry I left," I told Kairi 

"Don't worry about it." He said. 

"Can you do me a favour and get me a change of clothes please, I will message you if I hear anything about Chelsea." It was now around 10 pm and I just had a feeling she wasn't getting discharged. He nodded and went and took my car. "I will come with you," Mattia said and followed Kairi out of the waiting room. 

I decided to call Chelsea's mum I know she won't like that, I had to. 

"Hello." She finally answered the phone.

"Hi, I just wanted to let you know that Chelsea is in the hospital can you please come and bring her a change of clothes."

"Okay, I will be their soon after my shift is done." It makes me angry how shes always working and even though Chelsea is in the hospital she still doesn't leave earlier. 

"Chelsea Davis is ready to see you." I smiled and followed him into the room. 

Chelsea softly smiled at me 

"Chelsea has lost some blood and we had to stitch up her leg and shoulder, she was lucky as the stabbed wound nearly hit her artery in her leg. She was very lucky, we are going to keep her overnight just make sure she's okay but she needs to be looked after and rest for the next three weeks and until the stitches are ready to be taken out. She can't walk very far either as the stitches might break." I nodded. 

"Thank you doctor Silverson." 

"Did you at all get my phone?" Chelsea asked softly. 

I nodded and handed it to her as well as the charger I got from her house as she was using mine when she was staying over. She turned on her phone and she began to get tears in her eyes. She threw her phone on the bed next to her and broke down, I never knew how much they both meant for each other. Well how much he meant to Chelsea but Chelsea obviously doesn't mean anything to him.
