after the successful production of high school musical, the whole cast decided to have another cast party in ashlyn's house. they ate, reminisced rehearsal memories, even shared some anecdotes and played another round of carlos' high school musical: the choosical game.

it was time for everyone to go home, ricky and nini decided to walk home instead of riding with their friends. they wanted to spend some time together, just the two of them.

"i missed this, nins. it was hard without you." ricky says.

nini looked at ricky, kissing his cheek. "same here, i'm so glad we're finally back together."

"and i'm so glad i can finally do this." ricky exclaims, pulling nini's arm and kissing her passionately.

the kiss was interrupted when they both felt raindrops fall from the sky.

"holy shit ricky, it's about to rain!" nini shouts.

"ugh i don't care! if ever we get sick, at least i get to be sick with you." ricky replies and pecks her lips.

"oh my god ricky, stop being so cheesy." nini chuckles.

"it's the truth though. i want to spend as much time with you as possible because i love you. I almost lost you and i'm not going through that again. i'm not letting you go ever again."

nini didn't realize that she started to tear up. she felt genuine joy. "aw i love you so much."

"i love you more." ricky chuckles, pulling her to another passionate kiss.

the rain was getting harder but they didn't mind.

"hey, I still owe you a homecoming dance right?" ricky asks, making nini give a confused look. "i mean you weren't present during homecoming and big red insisted i should take you as my date since you just broke up with ej that time."

nini laughs. "ha really? sure! but we're gonna dance here, right now in the pouring rain?"

"i mean there's nothing wrong. plus i think it's really romantic." ricky replies.

the couple started dancing in the sidewalk. nini's arms were around his neck while ricky's arms were around her waist. they both swayed, looking at each other's eyes, then ricky started twirling her around while nini laughs. they both lean in for another kiss.

"hey, the rain stopped." ricky says.

"aw, i was really having a good time." nini replies, pecking his lips. "would you wanna dry off in my house? my moms are out for night anyway and my house is like 2 houses away from here."

ricky was shocked. he didn't know what to say. i mean, them alone in her house, on a friday night, that's just not nini at all. the nini he knew.
"uh, sure."

they arrived in nini's home, soaking wet. the couple rushed upstairs to the bathroom to dry off. after that, ricky was looking through her drawer and saw that he had left a full set of his clothes and immediately changed.

"wow, apparently i left some clothes here. i clearly forgot about them." ricky says.

"i was actually planning to return it after we broke up. maybe i just forgot." nini replies.

"did you really forget or you just-"

"if you continue that sentence, i'm kicking you out."  nini chuckles.

"i'm just kidding babe." he chuckles, pulling her close, kissing her lips passionately.

he deepens the kiss and just so you know it, they were making out in her bed. her hand was tugging the hem of his hoodie when they heard her mother's car pull over in the garage.

"shit! my mothers are home."  nini exclaims.

"i thought they were gonna be out for the night." ricky says.

"i thought so too."

the two immediately went down the stairs to greet carol and dana.

"hey mama c, mama d, why are you here so early? i thought you were going to be out for the night."

"well, the dinner ended earlier than expected, plus your mom and i have to leave again tomorrow early morning." dana replies.

"uh, is it ok if ricky could stay for the night?" nini asks while fidgeting her fingers.

"ok, but no funny business. we trust you." carol replies.

the two rushed upstairs to her room, getting back to their interrupted make out session. it was short since her mothers were home and nini didn't want them to act suspicious. she insisted they watch a movie instead. in the middle of the movie, nini falls asleep on his chest and ricky whispers something to her ear.

"goodnight, my darling angel. i love you. sleep tight."
