Isidro's PoV

~

These past few weeks came in fast motion ever since Agape.

I have always bore myself to work. I normally do not have social life but with Agape, everything seems lighter. Going home doesn't just mean having shower and getting some sleep. Now, it also means having someone to wait for you every night, someone to heat you up some dinner, and someone to cuddle with to sleep. Agape makes me look forward dearly to a day off at work and the weekend. She made everything just... wonderful.

"Positive outlook results to a great output." I told my employees as we gather inside the conference room for a quick week-ender meeting.

"Like, Se-Ri, right? She believes speaking and telling positive things to a plant can make it grow better..."

I stopped mid sentence when I realized what I just said. I looked at my employees who are looking quizically at me.

"Looks like Netflix really got a hold in all of us." I laughed awkwardly before clearing my throat. Agape and I finished the entire series in two nights. I didn't realize I would be hooked with it.

Nakarinig ako ng tawa mula sa mga empleyado ko. When I looked at Lauren beside me, nagtatanong rin ang mga tingin niya. Great.

"I mean, if we look at the project positively, we will be able to achieve  favorable output. That... is what I was trying to point out." I cleared my throat again. This is awkward.

"Anyway, I'll be expecting reports from each department next meeting. Should you have any questions or concerns, please coordinate with Ms. Lauren. Until then, go home and  enjoy the weekend. Thank you for your hard work this week. Meeting adjourned."

I received a collective thank yous after. I smiled in return and left the room habang nakasunod naman sa akin si Lauren. I own a construction and development company for more than a decade now. This kind of business ran in our family even before my siblings and I are born. After graduating from college and having MBA abroad, I've decided to branch out and build my own company.

I have worked my ass off since then. Never stopped learning and creating. Maybe it's the pressure that comes from other people telling me that I am too young to achieve something big that drove the passion to work harder. Hindi naman ako binigo ng maraming pagod, puhunan, at puyat na inilaan ko para sa kumpanya. I even sacrificed my own social life for this goal. Sacrificed my own happiness because of it. No regrets, though. I still believe that everything happens for a reason.

I smiled upon reading Agape's chat message. Millenials do really love using Messenger and Facebook.

"Sir, I'll be collating all of their reports this weekend so you can have a quick run down of them first thing on Monday." I heard Lauren said behind me. We were walking back to my office. I checked the time. It's a little after six in the evening.

"Go home, Lauren. Collate reports by Monday."

"But, Sir..."

I reached my office and sat on my swivel chair. I still have some contracts and blue prints to review. Ayaw ko na sanang gawin ito ngayon but I want to finish everything tonight so I can spend the rest of the weekend with Agape without feeling any guilt. I told her I'd be home late.

Lauren is still on the doorway. Since I am a workaholic myself, Lauren has became a fellow.

"I mean it. Please. You've been working your ass off these past few weeks. You deserve a lovely work-free weekend with your family."
