I wake up lying on the beach, covered in sand, My face burning and for some reason my lungs hurt. Why do my lungs hurt? "What happened?"

"Well that's kind of a long story." Someone says from above me. I sit up turn around and find a boy sitting next to me. He has dirty blond hair, blue gray eyes, and a concerned look on his face. Why does he look scared. Wait what's a long story? What is going on?

"Could you perhaps tell me this long story?" I ask as i stand up. I get onto my feet and take like two steps and then I face plant, falling directly on my stomach. "Ow!" I say pushing myself of the ground.

"I wouldn't try to stand up if I were you, you've been trough some pretty rough minutes." The boy says, as he comes and sits beside me.

"Well  considering the  fact that I can't stand up I think I have the time to hear the long story you were telling me about. Because I kinda want to know why I'm covered in sand, and I can't stand. I also want to know what you mean by rough, I'm not enjoying the suspense, pleas tell me why my head hurts." I say, as I fold my arms. He is starting to annoy me.

"I'm not sure if you will be ok with what I say. You seem like the kind of person who will think I'm ridiculous and won't believe me. I think you should calm down a little before I tell you."

"Thank you for thinking of me and trying to help but I really don't care if it will make me mad. What's making me mad is the fact that you won't tell me. I just want to know what happened, so will you please tell me?"

"Ok, I will tell you. Just don't punch me, or yell at me when I finish. Deal?" He hands me his hand as if he wants me to shake it.

"I promise that I won't punch you I say." Not moving to shake his hand. He puts his hand down then he starts talking.

"Ok so I was coming down to the beach to.. get a break from everything else and I saw you racing towards the water, you looked like you were in a hurry, you barley got your shoes of before you jumped into the water. I didn't really pay much attention to you, until I heard a lot of splashing.

When I looked over to where I saw you run into the water you weren't there. So I ran over to your stuff and it was still there so I knew you hadn't left. Then I looked at the water and I saw you come up but you didn't come up for long, you went back under in a matter of seconds. Then you didn't come up for a long time. Thats when I knew you needed help.

So I ran into the water to go and help you. But the water was burning hot and it wasn't like a hot tub hot it was like boiling water hot, it actually burned me pretty bad." He stops talking for a minute as if he is off in his own world.

After a few seconds, he continues, "I tried again to get into the water but it was steaming and I wasn't able to get far before my legs couldn't handle it anymore. I really didn't know what to do, I knew that you needed help but I couldn't get to you. So I ran over to the life guard stand and grabbed the floatie that was on the seat.

As I'm running back I see a bunch of smoke coming out of the water and I hear a hissing sounds, coming right from where you were. I didn't have a clue what was happening. I threw the  tube into the water, hoping that you would be able to grab on to it. You didn't. Instead you decided to fly out of the water in a ball of fire. And I mean a actual ball of fire, like you were covered in flames and flying. You flew out of the Water and on to the shore, you landed pretty hard, and when I got to you, you weren't on fire anymore but you also weren't awake."

"Did you just say I came flying out of the water in A fire ball?" I ask.

"Yep, it was pretty cool looking." He says with a smile.

"There is no way any of that happened. Are you being serious? Why won't you just tell me the truth, is it because your embarrassed, that you were to afraid to come into the water? I really just need to know why I am on the beach in pain." I say, I'm so confused.

"I'm being completely honest. Do you really think I came up with that whole story in a five minutes. See I was right I told you, you wouldn't believe me. I promise you that it actually happened. How else to think I would've gotten this fresh burn." He says showing me his legs that have are burned from his feet to his shin.

It looked so painful. It also looks a lot like the burn I had on my arm from when I got burned years ago and I still had the scars. "You could've just..," I cut myself of because I remember now I was drowning, I remember not being able to breath, and I remember everything going black. And then I remember waking up on the beach.

"So you are being serious. I almost died and I didn't remember it until just now!"
