(Draco)

Raven O'Neil had definitely gotten the wrong idea about him. After she said that they'd get along, she linked arms with him and marched him right out of the Great Hall, Crabbe and Goyle following behind. He didn't even get to eat anything. She was gushing about how grateful she was to be at Hogwarts, and how awesome it was to be in Slytherin. All the time, watching him out if the corner of her narrowed eyes. Draco had to give it to her-she was a perfect image Slytherin. She acted kind and innocent, but every move was calculated to benefit her in some way.

"So," she drawled, snapping Draco out of his musings, "do you have a girlfriend?"
Draco almost choked again.
"No..." he replied, trying not to laugh.
"Oh," Raven replied, flicking her ebony hair behind her shoulder.
"And why not, if I may ask? Surely half of the girls in Slytherin would date you...?"
It took all of Draco's will not to squirm. This was a topic he always tried to avoid.
"Of course they'd want to date me, who wouldn't? But none of them are interesting to me." He replied, trying for the umpteenth time to wrestle out of her grip.
She laughed.
"Surely there's someone here you like?" She asked. Draco rolled his eyes.
"...no. There's no girl here I'm interested in, and that's final."
Raven just blinked at him innocently.
"Of course..." she purred, and then turned to the wall, pulling Draco to a stop.
"Isn't there some sort of...magical room here? The...Room of Recreation?"
Draco eyed her. This slip up was not a mistake. It was all very calculated, which made Draco feel....uncomfortable.

    "Yes... the Room of Requirement."
Raven's eyes glistened with malice as she stepped towards the wall and reached out her hands.
"Oh yes...of course. Silly me. You seem to know a lot about it.... tell me, does it give you EVERYTHING you wish for?"
Draco swallowed. He didn't want to give away his secrets...what he does in there... not to her. But of course, being the star struck oafs they were, Crabbe and Goyle began blabbering. Crabbe tugged her sleeve and smiled shyly at her.
"Yes! Ms. Raven! Absolutely anything you want! Food! Drinks! Uh...stuff!"
If Draco could throttle him, he would do it in an instant.

"Really?!" Raven exclaimed, like she was humoring a child who found out the Earth was round.
"Oh my! And how would you access this room?"
This time, Goyle spoke up.
"You just have to...really want it." He explained, scrunching up his nose like he was envisioning the room.
"Brilliant!" Raven cried, finally releasing Draco's arm to clap her hands together like a small child.
"You two are so....smart." She said, each giving them a pat on the head, like they were dogs. Both Crabbe and Goyle beamed.
"Now then...you said your favorite part of the day was dessert, if you hurry along, you might just be able to get some," Raven said, winking at them.
She waved her hands in the direction of The Great Hall.
"Run along now, we'll catch up."

Draco watched them stumble down the halls, shoving each other and turning back to stare at Raven with dopey grins on their faces. Draco felt his heart beat faster and his breathing became shallow. Raven noticed and smiled deviously up at him.
    "Well Draco...what now?"
Draco suddenly remembered saying almost the same phrase not too long ago to Harry, and he felt a blush rise to his cheeks. Right now, he'd honestly rather be with Harry than Raven. She was still staring at him expectantly. Draco nervously wrung his hands. Raven was the type of girl to never give up, even if it was clear he wasn't interested.
"Look...O'Neil," Draco began, feeling a twinge if satisfaction when she pouted. Suddenly, Crabbe and Goyle's suspicious faces flooded his mind, followed by Ginny's, Harry's and even... his father's. Draco stared into Raven's eyes. If he wasn't so obviously gay, he'd definitely fall for her but... he was in love with someone else. Draco felt an imaginary smack against his head as an idea popped into his brain. Why not just...deceive her? Tell her he liked her, pretend to date her to get the suspicion of Potter and friends off his back? It was perfect. He didn't even feel guilty when he reached out a hand to tuck a piece of her hair behind her ear whispering,
"I have something to tell you..." he knew she was so good at deceiving people herself, that in the end she'd understand. Raven laughed, bringing his face closer to hers.
"Shhh. It's okay, no need to speak." She puckered her lips, and closed her eyes, waiting.

Time seemed to slow as Draco stared at her. He felt very nauseous all of a sudden. "It's okay, Malfoy, don't be a git. It's just a girl. Imagine it's Harry, or-scratch that. I never thought that." He slowly closed his eyes and leaned down to kiss her. Her lips were smooth and tasted like the type of candy that made you sick. It wasn't a bad first kiss, but he still felt a bit cheated that it had to be with a girl he had absolutely no interest in. The kiss only lasted about three seconds, but by the time Draco pulled away he was ready to throw up. Raven, on the other hand, seemed very pleased with herself.
"Oh I knew you felt the same way about us, Dray-Dray. Come on, let's go tell Grabbe Coyle!"
Draco felt sick to his stomach, and to his surprise, felt angry too. She purposefully mixed up their names. Draco allowed himself to be pulled down the hall, already regretting the plan and wondering if he was in too deep.

After all, he was now "dating" a mudblood.
