CHOI BEOMGYU
I mostly sit and watch them interact. She slowly gets more comfortable the more they talk, and fifteen minutes passes by faster than expected.
The door opens to reveal our dance instructor and manager. They seem to be deep in conversation, so I have to call their attention.
"Hyung!" He turns to me and our dance instructor leaves us. Yujin gets up and stands beside me, which is when he notices.
"Hello! You must be Min Yujin! Yoongi's sister," he smiles warmly.
She takes a deep bow. "Yes. He told me to come to you much earlier, but I got lost."
"Oh, it's okay." He looks at the other boys. "I see you've met the others?"
She nods. "Beomgyu introduced me. He and I met yesterday, on the way from Daegu."
"Well, your brother told me to give you something to do. He told me you have an inclination to music as well?" She nods again. "Well then, why don't you watch the boys practice for now. It would be great to have a bigger audience for them."
She bows. "I'll do my best."
He pats her head. "I'm sure you will. And I hope they will too," he adds, sending the rest of us a challenging look.
With that, she goes to sit with them by the mirrors. The rest of us get to position. Curiously, I suddenly feel nervous. Is it because we have more than 2 people watching us?
I take a deep breath and try not to pay attention to her, but I notice her set expression, clearly focused on us now, making it difficult. I shake my head and attempt to think only of the dance.
"And...done!" Our dance instructor stops the music at last, and we all collapse, breathing heavily.
Our manager walks up to us. "Maybe we should keep Yujin here just to see you guys perform like that. You seem to have a lot more energy." All too tired to answer, we continue to catch our breath. "Early lunch break, I'm very happy with your performance," he tells us. "We ordered some pizza for you guys."
Everyone stands up to pay our respects and thank them as the 2 adults exit the room, but almost immediately fall back down after.
After we've all calmed down and drank some water, we move to change our shirts. It is only after when one of us remembers Yujin.
"Oh God Sorry Yujin," I hear Taehyun say. I hastily put on my extra shirt, realising what happened.
I turn to see her face in her hands. It is only from her red ears that we can tell how she's feeling.
Her muffled voice comes through her hands. "I was gonna say something but it was too late. I'm sorry. I swear I didn't see anything."
Yeonjun laughs. "It's okay. Don't worry, we should've remembered you were here. It's not your fault."
We all sit around her in random spots, stretching out our legs. She doesn't look up.
"Yujin, it's okay now. We're all fully dressed," I tell her.
She peeks through her fingers before completely ridding her face of her hands. She's still red, we all notice. None of us point it out though, not wanting to make her feel any more nervous.
"So what did you think?" Soobin asks her.
She raises two thumbs. "It was so good! You guys were so synchronized and energetic. It was so fun to watch." We all give a small thanks.
"Do you enjoy dancing?" Kai asks her.
"I love dancing." I watch as she looks up dreamily, eyes sparkling at the sudden question. "It's the best thing in the world."
