CHOI BEOMGYU
"Taehyun I need your help," I pant as soon as it's just us two in the practice room.
We're both wheezing from the dance routine we've been practicing for the past week. One of the songs that's going to be in our debut album. Blue Orangeade.
The thought that we'll be debuting in only months is still surreal, even if we were told 2 months ago. Hearing our voices blast from the speakers for practice is still something I'm trying to get used to. Even for that there's hardly any time. Nowadays it's school-practice room and sometimes back to the dorm. Even our weekends are spent extensively training.
Which means I have almost no time to go out with Yujin. She drops by as often as she can, but she's been busy with school and song-writing. The last time we went out was probably 2 months ago. And the last time she showed up was 2 weeks ago. The last time we had a proper conversation actually. I didn't even get to tell her that we have the day off tomorrow, which is when I plan to tell her about our debut.
Taehyun nods for me to go on while plopping down in front of me.
"It's about Yujin. I feel like she's avoiding me. Besides her stopping with the visits, she rarely goes online, rarely answers any of my messages. I thought it was for all of us, but Kai, Soobin, and Yeonjun still talk to her. Do you think she wants to end things?" I look at him expectantly after expressing the one fear that's been on my mind for weeks.
However Taehyun rolls his eyes. "Okay, maybe something is wrong but why do you immediately think that she wants to break up with you?"
I shrug. "Just a recurring thought."
He sighs and drinks some water. "Okay so I think something is wrong too. I noticed that whenever Yujin tries to hide something she stops talking to you and me in particular to avoid us finding out, which is kinda stupid because that's how we find out.
"Anyway that's what she's doing again. She's been avoiding my calls."
"You call her? How often?"
He does another eye roll and ignores me. "At first I thought it was her period, but she started acting like this before this week so...no."
He goes quiet and sends me a worried look.
"What? What are you thinking?" I ask.
"Relapse? Do you think she's taking the pills again?" he suggests, instantly making me look at the entire situation differently.
"I d–"
Our conversation is cut short when boys burst through the door loudly, followed by our dance instructor and manager. Taehyun gets up and says we can talk about it later, but from here on it's the only thing on my mind.
MIN YUJIN
"Hey Yujin, are you alright?" Jungkook oppa asks when he enters the recording studio where I've been observing the members over the week.
I look up at him and try for a smile. "Yeah, I'm fine."
He doesn't look convinced and takes a seat next to me on the couch. "You're not very good at hiding things. Come on, you can tell me. You've been like this since last week."
I let out a resigned breath and lean back. "Well...okay. So, I know none of you had any relationships when you debuted but–"
He laughs. "That's not entirely true."
"What?" I ask in confusion.
He eyes the producer in the room and then my brother who is inside the recording booth, both of whom are too focused to notice us at the moment.
