Chapter 2: challenge with Cecile

One week later
"Ouch! How dare you bumped into me." Cecile shouted at the figure on the floor.
"She's dead, Cecile is gonna beat her up." The crowd muttered.
"You're the one that bumped into me. You should apologize." The figure on the floor exclaimed.
Everyone who heard it gasped. She must have a death wish. They thought.
"You dare! I am the candidate for queen and how dare you!" Cecile bellowed.
"Candidate for queen? I know Remi she is so strong yet she is not arrogant like you!" The figure on the floor got up, it was Elia.
"Hoh?" Cecileformed an evil smirked. "One of Remi's lackeys. Every well, since Remi is also candidate for queen her lackeys must not be so weak. I challenge you."
"She's dead, everyone Cecile challenged always ended up with serious injuries." The crowd muttered.
"Fine, how about we bet. If you win, i will be your dog for a day, but if i win, i want your title and the queen's candidate." Elia said aloud for everyone to hear.
"Hahaha! She's even stupider than i thought. She thinks high tiers are so easy to defeat." Cecile thought.
"Fine! Everyone here is our witness. We duel now!"

The news or an unknown newcomer challenging Cecile spread like wild fire. Everyone had come onto the fields to witness the duel. The news of the bet had also spread. Everyone was either amazed at Elia's bravery or laughing at her stupidity. Everyone knew how strong Cecile was, she was one of the strongest non-royals.

"Is she actually serious?" Blyke almost screamed when he had heard the news.
"The duel is almost starting, we should go if we want to make it in time." Isen said.

"The duel has started, are you not going to attack? Or are you too scared?" Elia mocked. Cecile clenched her teeth and her eyes glowed purple. The moment se activated the ability, dozens of energy ropes appeared pinning Elia down.
"It's over!" Cecile exclaimed as her aimed her punch at Elia's face. Just as her punch was about to reach, Cecile felt a chill up her spine.
BAAAM! The contact was so loud.
"How could it be!" Cecile thought. Her punch was blocked by an ice shield while her energy ropes that she had used to pin Elia down was sliced into pieces with an ice sword in Elia's hand.
"You have no chance, give up." Elia continued to mock her.

"Isen, is that really the cheery friendly Elia we know?"
"I dont know man, she's scary alright."
Isen and Blyke were both shivering in their seats.
"She's incredible, having the guts to challenge Cecil after just coming here for 2 weeks. And she's beating Cecile." Remi exclaimed as she looked at the battle.
Cecile was in a hopeless situation. All of her energy ropes whether to bind or the attack were all sliced by Elia's ice sword.
"Weak." Elia muttered.
"How dare you mock me! Even if I can't hit you, you didn't touch me either." Cecile screamed in frustration. Why can't her attacks connect. Those were all Cecile thought.
"This is boring. Let's end this quickly."
"Don't you dare, Dont you dare mock me!" Cecile bellowed as she pushed in for a final strike. 20 energy ropes appeared, they were different from ropes, they were more like flying chains.
"I'll crush you!" Cecile screamed as she commanded her energy ropes to attack Elia.
"I don't believe she has the power to slice them all." Cecile thought.
"Victory is mine." Cecile celebrated when she saw that her energy ropes where less than 10 cm away from Elia.
Smirk.
A chill went down Cecile's spine when she realized something was wrong.
In a instant all of her energy ropes were sliced apart with a nice clean casual strike from Elia.
"No...how could this be." Cecile whispered, in a mental shock while Elia jumpled and flew at lighting speed instantly reaching Cecile and hitting her in her stomach. Blood jushed out as the ice sword made contact wit Cecile.
Cecile fell to the floor. Silence fell, everyone was in shock including Remi, Blyke and Isen.
Elia calmly approached Cecile and pointed the ice sword in Cecile's neck.
"Your title is mine."
