Chapter 12: madness

Note: we finally get a glimpse at Elia's true power. But is that the end to her power?? Hehe

Elia slammed her hand on the table and it turned to ice.
"Speak! Why is there a tracker?" Elia demanded.
"Uhh..I don't know. My boss gave it to me." The shop vendor squirmed.
Isen smirked. He had used his ability, he knew that the shop vendor was lying.
"Pfft liar. Take a walk with us will you?" Isen mocked.
At that moment, everything turned into smoke. No one could see anything.
"Blyke clear the smoke!" Remi exclaimed.
Blyke summoned two energy beams that collided with each other, clearing the smoke.
"There!" Isen screamed at the fleeing figure. He had already tracked the shop vendor.
Remi ran but then she noticed. Elia was much faster and was already a distance away from her.
"How?" Remi thought.
They chased the man to the parking lot.
"There!" Isen pointed at the motorcycle that was moving on its own.
"Invisble?" Remi said.
Isen ran but he was hit by an incoming truck.
"Look both ways, idiot!" Blyke screamed.
"You guys are too slow!" Elia exclaimed as she was right on the tail of the motorcycle.
"I'll back you up!" Blyke exclaimed as he immediately fired up a beam. "Remi, follow Elia."
Elia materialized 20 ice swords and aimed it at the fleeing motorcycle. The motorcycle manuevered its way around the ice swords.
"Fuck! It's hard to aim while moving around!" Elia shouted in frustration.
Elia slammed her fist into the ground and turned it into ice. The motorcycle slipped and fell and two people materialized.
"Why did you plant the chips? Are you targeting high tiers?" Elia demanded. The vendor looked at Elia in fear. The man behind the vendor attenpted to run but Elia had noticed him.
"You have nowhere to run!" Elia shouted as a giant ice wall appeared blocking the man's path.  Then she felt herself being thrown away.
"What the hell? Get off me!" She looked at the woman who was hugging her tightly.
"You are not going anywhere.." the woman exclaimed as she latched onto Elia tightly.
"You asked for it!" Elia was extremely furious at the woman. Her hands turned into a pale blue colour while she pushed the woman off. The exact spot her hands touched turned into ice.
"Arghhh!" The woman screamed at the intense pain she was feeling.
"Bitch get off me!" Elia shouted when she saw that the woman was still holding on tightly to her waist.
"I'll freeze you whole if that's what you want." Elia raised her while the woman shut her eyes tightly.
"Elia stop!" Remi exclaimed. Elia showed no signs of stopping as her hands rapidly approached the woman. Elia felt herself being electrocuted and she was paralyzed. It was only for a second but it was enough for Remi to detatch the woman from Elia.
"Calm down, they are already gone." Remi hastily said. Elia looked over and all she saw was an empty carpark. The madness in her eyes disappeared but the anger was still there.
"Why did you stop me!" Elia furiously asked the woman.
"It's my job to maintain security. You guys set up the smoke bomb, you have to follow me to the mall detention room." The woman calmly explained.
"That could have been fucking ember!" Elia screamed. Remi's eyes widened.
"My brother's murderers?" She thought, frozen in place.
"There is no proof, besides you guys set up the smoke bomb in the first place." The woman calmly explained.
"Do all the security have dungs for brains? We were chasing them, why the fuck would we release a smoke bomb." Elia lost her cool again.
"We need to confirm that in cctv. I need to cuff you." The woman showed Elia the handcuffs for restraining abilities.
