"Ms. Langdon I need a quick break please", Valerie told me, taking another tissue.
"Sure, take your time dear", I smiled at her.
While she was outside getting some fresh air, I was writing down what she said to me and quickly typed it into my laptop.
I closed my eyes, how can a mother be that irresponsible for her own children. I shook my head as suddenly a message from Michael popped up.'Don't wait with dinner, I'm out, shooting for another video'.
My face got longer the more words I read.
I actually was up to preparing some nice dinner for both of us, spending the evening on the couch watching some movies. Since tomorrow is saturday and I have a day free.
I rolled my eyes as hard as possible, clicking on the 'read', button and tried to concentrate myself back to work.
I was pissed beyond all words, but alright - I can have fun on my own, without Michael.
"Now that I know a few things better about your past, tell me - you've said it's hard to deal with the circumstances of your job, what did you mean?", I started as we both sat down again and she gave me the signal to go on with therapy.
"Well like I said, money was very rare in the household since father left, and after Rafaél moved in we could afort food on a regular basis, at least for a certain time", she cleared her throat.
"But after the twins came it was hard to feed so many children and baby products were expensive".
"And that's the way you slipped into prostitution?", I asked concern.
"Yes, we needed the money".
"What about your older sister Carla?".
"She did it too, but left as the twins were about two years old, it's the easiest way to earn good money", Valerie looked at me.
"I did it for my siblings". "Am I a bad person now?", her eyes filled with so many emotions.
"No, I understand your reasons", I told her.
"I see you're standing in a massive conflict between your mind - 'cause it knows what's right and what's wrong, and your worries because of your siblings - if money is not enough for the month".
She nodded understandable, realising it won't be the end of the world for her but she has to change something. And she has to do it quick."My biggest problem is not the way I work, you kind of slip into this business, it's more my 'clients', some of them demand things from me I barely can give them".
"I started doing that job at the age of ten, first it was only walking on stage for them, I was very young and they got easily pleased by a childs body", she exhaled, slowly shaking her head.
"They didn't touched you?", I asked suprised and disgusted at the same time.
How sick you have to be to push a child into those circumstances. And worse, getting pleased by the look of such a little body."At first not, but as I hit puperty...", she shortly thought about it.
"I think I was eleven, definatelly not older than twelve years old, I had to start working for men", she said.
"And as their wishes became more intense I started drinking alcohol". "A lot", she added.
"It numbed me good enough to overcome the meetings".
"They loved coming to me, Dolores told me they adore my unique eyes, they call me bambi".
