Ayumi's P.O.V
I open my eyes to find myself on the floor. My mind was clear for one blissful second, but then the memories of the events proceeding rushed back, and I groaned. I let my eyelids fall back closed and tried to wake up from this wretched nightmare. But no matter what I did...I couldn't wake up. This was cruel and cold reality...not some trick my mind is torturing me with. No matter how hard I wished, how hard I wanted and prayed and begged... None of this would be fake. NoNe Of tHis... I opened my eyes, staring back up at the white, blank ceiling. None of this...
Knowing I can't just sit here on the floor forever, since I need to find him, I pull myself to my feet. I need to. If he's in trouble... He saved me, now it's my turn. Using the bed to steady myself, I grit my teeth in determination. Okay...first step...I need to find a way he could have left. My vision dances around as I climb back onto the bed, walking towards the window. The bed was creaking as I stepped across the seemingly untouched surface.
I look back out the window, searching for anything. The bricks pushing out to create a ladder down, a fallen ladder, a safe place to land... But I could see nothing, and it was driving me crazy. It was...just...empty... And, any place other than inside felt like...death. Nothing. Literal and complete nothing. Numb, almost, but...nothing...at all. As if I had somehow entered a portrait.
I stumbled backwards, landing on the bed. The white ceiling was once again the main focus of my vision. Where the hell could he have gone?! Worst possible scenarios were starting to fill my head. There was no...body...either. So he couldn't have gone outside, despite the fake evidence. Plus, who would want to go into that dead feeling outside?
What if he slipped by me? He could just be playing a cruel prank! Maybe he was hiding out of my sight, and left. I wouldn't blame him. This was nowhere near some of the things I did to him. He must have bee worried sick when I was possessed or ran off. More than me. Yeah...that's it...
So maybe I should go check the rest of the apartment...!
I pulled myself up into a sitting position, determination driving me quicker than fear. I spun around on the balls of my palms, and sprung to my feet. I was about to head to the door...when suddenly a loud bang was heard. The door shut then, too.
I fell down in surprise, trembling with fear. A gnawing pain started at my neck, but it was manageable. So I ignored it. The bang sort of sounded like a thick piece of wood cracking because of falling a too great of height. I had heard it before...when a board had bursted into splinters after falling from a too great of height. But this one sounded more...more...agh. I had no words. But by now, certainly anxiety and crippling fear was numbing common sense.
All was quiet; the sound had frozen in time it seemed. Not a single creak. But that didn't last long.
"H...e...lp...me..." Somebody croaked. It was muffled by the door and wall, but it was too easy to hear with the still silence. A chill went down my spine.
                              I was paralyzed. Crap.
                              Riiiip...crssh...squish...
The most horrifying sound of something grotesque echoed in my ears. Ripping flesh...stabbing...something I wish I never heard ever. I had before. In Heavenly Host. And here it was. The one place I didn't think I would hear it. I felt goosebumps pop on my skin, and I shook violently with fright. I didn't really want to know what it was. I wanted to wake up. Pray that this was just a prank. But I really didn't want to stay here any longer. Go run to Nakashima-san and Mochida-kun. And find Kishinuma-kun there. Grinning at me, and asking if he had gone a little bit too overboard. I would say yes, and tell him off for scaring the absolute shit out of me. But when the others weren't looking, I would cry in his warm embrace.
I didn't realize I was at the bedroom door, cold doorknob in hand, preparing to open it. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes. There was nothing to be afraid of...nothing at all. My mind was playing tricks on me...that's all. I'm scared about nothing. Yeah...!
Eyes still closed, I twisted the doorknob. I listened to every creak and squeak of the door opening. But that wasn't the only sound. There was a sound of...a rope swinging back and forth? With something heavy attached to it...huh...
I slowly opened my eyes, and wished I never did.
Well, to look at it in a dark way, I found...Yoshiki...
He was hanging back and forth on a rope, struggling to break free. His stomach was bleeding badly, too. A pair of scissors lay on the floor. My breath caught in my throat. He looked at me pledingly. For help.
"...H-Hang in there! I'll find something!!" I said quickly, not caring about my horrible word choice. He was too heavy for me to lift up...and I was too short and too weak to be a human stool. I glanced around, and saw a chair. Yes! That would work!
I ran as fast as I could to the living room, and grabbed the snow white wooden chair. Amazingly, I lifted it up and made it back to Yoshiki swiftly. Must've been the adrenaline. He was still barely there, thank God. I put the chair under his feet, where he was able to stand on it. He took a deep breath and stood there weakly. I grabbed the scissors off the ground, and wiped the blood on my pants.
I stepped onto the chair too, and thanks to my petite figure, I was able to do it. I reached up as high as I could, which was barely enough. I attempted to cut through the rope. I barely damaged it. Cursing under my breath, I jumped up, and was able to snip it partially. I fell to the ground, and winced.
He started leaning to the side, and my eyes widened. I frantically stood up and tried to push him up, but it was too late.
The rope broke with a snap, and he fell down. I moved where he was going to land, and fell over as soon as he hit me. But at least his fall was cushioned. I was sure to half a few bruises. And he was in worse condition than me. And he could have broke his neck. I quickly untied the rope, and used my shirt as a temporary bandage for his stomach.
Tears ran down my face, the coppery, metallic smell of blood not bothering me at all.
                              "Stay with me...please..."
                              --
So I ran out of ideas after a while...so this is the only product I was half okay with.
                              Hope its okay ;~;
