Third Person

Percy, with the help of weirdly nearly every female (and a few males) on Olympus, found the arena.

He immediately walked towards the water and nectar fountains in the corner of the arena.

Concentrating on the stream of flowing water, he created a mini whirlpool. As more water flowed through the fountain the whirlpool got bigger and bigger until it was towering over the already tall Percy.

Then the god had an idea. If he could draw water from things like poison... could he get rid of it too. Concentrating he thought of the water evaporating and following his wishes the water disappeared without a trace. That was.. interesting. Percy wondered about what this new power could be used for.

"What the Hades was that?" Came a voice from behind Percy. Annabeth stood at the entrance of the arena watching him.

"Just testing out some new stuff Wise Girl, guess I've got a few new surprises in stock," The former demigod said whilst walking towards his girlfriend. He wrapped his hands around her waist and leant towards her face to kiss her.

Annabeth removed his hands from around her waist and took a step back.

"Look, Percy, I love you, I really do but-" Her voice trailed off

"But what??" Percy question with confusion and worry laced in his words.

She sighed, "You're a god now Percy."

"And why does that matter, Annie?? I still love you and I always will," Percy said his voice slightly raised.

Annabeth looked at him nervously, "It's not that you're a god so much, it's more your domain."

"Why is natural disasters or close combat a problem I'm not going to go wrecking cities and killing people or anything, I promise," Percy pleaded.

The daughter of Athena bit her lip, "No Percy, it's the other domain."

Percy started to laugh, "You had me scared there wise girl. I thought you were seriously breaking up with me. Imagine actually breaking up with someone for them being too hot," he smirked.

"I-I'm not joking, we can still be, Uhm," she struggled to continue realising she was treading on thin ice, "c-closer than friends, but I don't want any labels like girlfriend or boyfriend."

Percy looked at her in silence, he had no words.

Annabeth continued to try and excuse what she was saying and to break the silence, "Like Percy, I saw the way everyone was looking at you. I can't be in a relationship with you if there are so many opportunities for you to cheat on me."

She was only making things worse

Percy eyes had lost their glow and were dark and stormy, "My fatal flaw is loyalty, Annabeth."

"Come on Percy even Aphrodite was watching you," she replied sternly.

Someone cleared their throat behind the two.

They turned to see the goddess, Aphrodite herself.

"And to think I shipped you two together from the start, and for you," she glared at Annabeth, "to break up with him and then say you still want, what, his body??"

"This is a private conversation, Lady Aphrodite," the demigod snapped.

"I think I speak on behalf of Percy when I say it was a private conversation, but it is, however, now over. I advise you to leave now before I make sure that you will never find love again in your entire measly life." Aphrodite smirked, "Well actually looking at you, I can't see anyone else loving you if I'm being honest."

Annabeth looked at Percy for help but he stared at her solemnly.

She trailed out of the room with her head hung.

Aphrodite walked over to Percy her stilettos clicking against the floor with each step. She pulled the younger god into a hug. "You're better off without her anyway, Percy" she muttered as she held her head against his chest.

As if having cameras in the room, Athena stormed in. "Interrupting anything?" She snarled.

Aphrodite rolled her eyes, "Hm no Athena just consoling poor Perseus here after your daughter dumped him because she was worried he might cheat on him for being 'too hot'. Oh and not to mention she then asked could they be friends with benefits instead of a couple."

Athena looked at Percy's upset expression. As much as she didn't want to believe her daughter was this cruel she did know Percy would be defending Annabeth if the information wasn't true. Her pride denied it but her intuition knew better. It was never in his nature to let his friends and loved ones be talked about negatively without him putting a stop to it.

Athena turned and left the arena almost as quick as she came in.

"I'm gonna go visit my mum," Percy muttered before leaving too.

Aphrodite watched him leave with interest.
