Ok, ok we get into the real shit very soon. Like yeah there will be a war and that could be considered threatening but the real, real shit is that Percy still hasn't been allowed to visit his mom and is gonna get his ass whooped by Sally.
But back to the story....let's go!
Percy POV
"Iris messaging is facing technical difficulties but we hope to soon be up and running again. Sorry for any inconvenience," The iris message said in a voicemail-like tone, with a completely black image, instead of showing me my mother.
"FOR F***S SAKE JUST SHOW ME, MY F*****G MOM!" I shouted nearly punching Cora's crib which sat in the corner of the room.
"Iris messaging is facing technical difficulties but we hope to soon be up and running again. Sorry for any inconvenience," The voice repeated.
"F**K YOU VOICE MAIL," I screamed uncaring to who heard me outside my cabin.
"You know screaming isn't going to make it work," Voicemail said.
Wait then it's not just prerecorded.
"Fleecy??" I hissed.
"Yes, Percy," Fleecy said dropping the voicemail act.
"Why were you pretending to be a voicemail?" Percy said crossly.
"Uh so you don't try bribing me again, it's not going to work by the way," Fleecy sighed.
"Look, Fleecy, I swear I'll do anything, just show me, my mom. Zeus is just being an asshole because he hates me. My mom probably thinks I'm dead." I said pleadingly.
"Alright Percy," she said and I finally thought I had gotten through to her, but then she continued, "I'll tell you something but you can't tell anyone, swear it."
I was confused at first but then I swore I wouldn't.
"Zeus isn't making me not let you see your mom,"
"What!" I nearly screamed, "So you can show me her!!!!"
"No no no, I can't! You see its not just your iris messages that aren't working, it's everyone's. We are just passing it off as technical errors to everyone else but really neither Iris nor Zeus knows what's going on. But Zeus said to keep quiet as to not panic anyone." She said hurriedly.
"That doesn't sound good," I said, feeling slightly worried.
"Yeah, right, but I really gotta go, Percy, so I'll see you around, please don't call again," Fleecy said quickly before disconnecting.
I sighed and sat with my head in my hands. Sure it wasn't good the iris messages were down, but at least it wasn't my problem.
I had my own problem at the moment, it's been over two years since I've seen my mom! She definitely thinks I'm dead.
I know what your thinking...two years? It hasn't been that long right? I thought that too but yeah, it has.
See I went missing for eight months when Hera took my memories, then there was the whole war with Gaia, then I got made a god, after that, I had to go save Aphrodite and now, fifteen months on from that, Zeus is still making me stay out of the mortal realm.
I've tried to go on several occasions and I always get stopped.
One occasion I was ready to go to my old apartment in full stealth mode but still, somehow old drama queen knew and appeared out of nowhere.

"Perseus Jackson, where do you think you're going," Zeus boomed despite the fact, me and him were the only people in the room and we were standing two feet apart.
"I'm going to a spa day," I said rolling my eyes.
"You are not permitted to go to your mother's Perseus," said Zeus.
"And why might that be," I said resisting the urge to take his master bolt and shove it up where Apollo don't shine.
"I've explained this before," Zeus said.
"Well I love to hear your voice, so please, enlighten me," I said my voice dripping with sarcasm.
He ignored my sarcasm and began to explain, "You see there are ancient laws, Perseus, that not even gods can break. You cannot interfere with mortals lives."
I concentrated on my breathing like my mom would have wanted rather than challenging the king of the gods to a fistfight, "So Zeus, tell me this," I said.
"Lord Zeus to you," he added.
I sucked in a deep breath and clenched my knuckled to prevent them from ending up in his crotch, "So Lord Zeus...tell me why you, especially you, and all the other gods can hop down the mortal world and get everything with a heartbeat pregnant, but I can't tell my grieving mother that I'm not dead after not seeing her in years?"
He shifted and for the first time seemed slightly uncomfortable, although I wasn't sure if it was for me calling out his many affairs or because I had pointed out that he was being a total dipshit.
"Ok I'll make an offer," Zeus suggested.
I tried not to get my hopes up as I knew that Zeus' offers were usually rubbish, for example, an offer of his was that for saving his daughter Artemis, I got to live.
"I'm allowed to ask you any favour at all, whenever I want and you can visit your mother," he said.
He had me in a corner and he knew it, there was probably something particular that he wanted from me and he was preventing me from seeing my mom just so he could get. He knew I would accept anything he put in front of me because of how desperate I was to see my mom.
I knew I had to leave with accepting some kind of offer, but who's to say I couldn't make a better offer.
"I decline unless you are willing to let me see my mother on a regular basis. Knowing you, you will let me visit her once and then say I can't see her ever again," I said with confidence.
"Alright, boy, but on my terms, I decide when the first visit is and from then on it is monthly and you must complete my one favour, may it be a quest or something else."
I accepted and the deal was sealed.

Only now did I realise my mistake, by him saying he could decide the first visit, means that he could decide it to be years from now. He could give me my first visit when my mom had already passed away.
However, I went to the underworld for my mom, which sounds like a piece of cake now but it was a big deal back then, and I will not let Zeus stop me from seeing her again.
If it takes me to beat the Hades out of Zeus then so be it, but I will see my mom.
I rolled my shoulders trying to ease the tension in them but failing to do so. I decided that I would go find Cora because she always brightened up my day.
She was six months old now, but we didn't know her exact birthday so we just marked it as the day she showed up at camp.
Also known as the day my life got a whole lot better. I loved her liked my own family and maybe she was, if she is really my sister.
Nobody knew for sure who her dad was and my dad was extremely vague when I asked him was she his. He literally used the word, 'perhaps' before saying he had to go. Poseidon made it seem as if he didn't actually know if Cora was his daughter or not.
Like, how can you not know if you got somebody pregnant??? (Oh I don't know, Percy, how would you 'not know'......)
He also said something about 'definitely sensing the sea in her' which was also super vague. Sometimes people just need to say yes or no, I don't like stupid riddles, you aren't the Oracle for gods' sakes.
I banished the irritating thoughts from my head and made myself think about how I was just happy to have a possible little sister.
