K.K. laid silently on the bed as he heard Isabelle quietly sing in her closet. He kept his eyes closed, not wanting Isabelle to know that he was awake. K.K. knew that Isabelle was very self-conscious about her voice. It didn't matter if he told the young Shih Tzu that she could sing, Isabelle still wouldn't believe him. So he just laid there, keeping his eyes closed because he knew that if Isabelle saw that he was awake, she would immediately stop. K.K. always loved her voice. Ever since they were younger he always loved to hear her sing. He sometimes wondered how life would be now if they sang and traveled together. Isabelle always tried to convince K.K. to sing his songs to the public when they were younger. And he couldn't help but wish he had done the same for her amazing voice as well.
Isabelle got out of her closet and K.K. opened his eyes slightly to see her. She was wearing a black skirt and a heavy brown coat. It was obvious that she was planning to go out, and based on the looks of it outside, she had definitely dressed appropriately. K.K. looked over at the window and saw the entire town covered in a thick layer of white snow. It had snowed all last night and it was if the whole town of Animal Village decided to hibernate. No one was walking on the streets and none of the stores seemed to be busy.
"K.K.?" Isabelle said in a loud whisper, not sure if Totakeke was awake. K.K. sighed and rolled over on his side to look at Isabelle. He smiled.
"I'm awake," K.K. said tiredly. Isabelle smiled back as she gently tied a scarf around her neck.
"Well I'm gonna go shopping," Said Isabelle, "We're running low on food and since the town won't be that busy today because of the snow I'll be quick. Okay?" K.K. got up at sat on the edge of Isabelle's bed.
"Are you sure you have to go today?" K.K. asked concerned, "I mean, Copper said we really shouldn't be leaving the house." Isabelle placed her paws on her hips giving K.K. a stern look.
"Says the dog who went to the Roost last night. And I have to go unless you don't want to have dinner tonight," Isabelle said sarcastically. K.K. chuckled and shook his head.
"Fair enough. Just be safe." Isabelle gave K.K. a warm smile before leaning in to give him a kiss. K.K. returned it and watched silently as Isabelle left the room not long before Digby entered it.
"Good morning K.K.," Digby said before taking a sip from his coffee. K.K. smiled and saw that Digby had already gotten ready for the day. Not that K.K. was surprised, Digby had always been the responsible one.
"Morning Digby. Are you leaving too?" K.K. asked. Digby shrugged.
"Nah, with this weather I don't really feel like going anywhere," Digby joked, "But uh, I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hangout. I feel like we hadn't really gotten many chances to do that since you came back to Animal Village."
K.K. frowned realizing that Digby was right. He spent so much time with Isabelle that he had completely disacknowledged her brother. K.K. couldn't help but feel bad. Afterall, Digby had been his friend for a very long time too.
"Yeah, that sounds great," K.K. said happily getting up from Isabelle's bed, "Just give me a minute to get ready." Digby smiled and gave K.K. a curt nod before leaving him alone in the room.

The snow crunched underneath Isabelle's boots as she started making her way towards Main Street. The whole town seemed quiet. There were barely any villagers walking around town and Isabelle couldn't help but enjoy the silence.
It wasn't long until she finally arrived at the store and frowned at the sight in front of her.
'Sorry we're closed' The sign read on the front door of the building. Isabelle grunted and stomped her foot on the wet snow.
