The sun beamed through the open curtains on the last day in July. It was the last thing Harry wanted to do, but he felt cold and empty, so he swung his legs from the bed. His glasses were lazily placed on the bridge of his nose, now he could see why he was so cold, Draco wasn’t in the bed. Quickly, he threw on clothes that had been placed in colour order, and assumed he was downstairs. Harry jogged down the steps of the quiet house: very surprised of the volume level because there are two babies, two adults and two people that argue like it’s their job.
Looking in the living room, he saw nobody there so he proceeded to the kitchen, which had the door closed. “Happy birthday!” Five voices cheerfully yelled. Harry could see Remus and Sirius lovingly holding the other, Teddy resting on Sirius' hip. Draco was at the front with Laitan in a high chair. Pansy and Blaise stood just behind Draco and created distance between themself and the two adults.
“I completely forgot...” Harry said, walking over to Draco, hugging him loosely in bewilderment,
“That’s never happened before...”
“Good thing we don’t have an awful memory like you then.” Draco said, kissing Harry’s cheek and handed him a present. He wouldn’t expect anything from Draco other than a perfectly wrapped gift in green wrapping paper of course. Taking out the frame and flipping it over, there was an image of the two in Slytherin scarfs. Draco in his dress-like coat and that stupid hat Harry adored because gel wouldn’t work when he wore it. Therefore, Harry would spend hours combing his fingers through Draco’s hair as they lay on the couch in Slytherin common room in front of the fire because Draco was cold from being out in Hogsmeade. Harry had his rounded glasses, messy hair and rosy cheeks with the addition of a pink nose and a coat reminding him of Sirius'. In the moving image, Harry had his head on Draco’s shoulder as they sat on a blanket in the snow, looking over Hogsmeade. That moment, Harry felt loved, he felt content and happy. What it actually looked like in real life, Pansy and Blaise were arguing like friends do, Blaise threw the first snowball to Pansy hitting her in the face. She screamed something about her make-up and went to throw one at Blaise. Yeah, she missed. Instead, she hit Draco who went on a rampage for hitting his hair.“How did you do this?” Harry queried.
Draco was ecstatic to answer, “Spell I learnt, takes any memory then can create an image of it.”
“Thank you, Dray.” He hugged the boy before moving to Blaise and Pansy. They had given him a broom care kit and Pansy had gotten Harry a large writing pad from a Muggle store she was completely reluctant to go into, but did after being dragged in by Sirius. She found she quite enjoyed it, and was very wrong when it came to Muggles. Harry hugged Pansy and gave Blaise a thanks with a smile Blaise couldn’t fully return. Harry would ask Draco later, because he knew Blaise didn’t trust him that much yet to let him in.Then came Sirius and Remus and their gift became Harry’s second favourite- to one of Draco’s at Christmas of course. They had given him a book filled with photos from their time in school. Quickly, he threw his arms around both his Godfathers, before saying; “Thank you, dads...” then he realised what he said, “Oh Merlin, I am so sorry. I shouldn’t have said that. Why did I say that? God, I bet you hate me, I’m sorry, i shouldn’t have said it, I-"
“Don’t be sorry, cub, we aren’t complaining, are we?” Sirius cupped Harry’s head in his hands, all three had tears in their eyes but Harry wouldn’t let his slip in front of anybody but Draco and the two adults wouldn’t in front of anybody but themselves. “No, dad, you didn’t.” He smiled brightly at the two.
“You know we love you, don’t you cub?” Remus said hugging Harry after peeling him off Sirius.
“I do, papa.” It felt weird but right, if that made sense. The day was filled with catching up, random talking and light talking like something was off. Blaise, Pansy and Draco were definitely hiding something from Harry, that they were going to discuss later. Well, now it was later. The four were alone in Draco and Harry’s room- Laitan had fell asleep next to Teddy while they were playing, shortly followed by Remus and Sirius (Sirius changed their butter bear to Fire whiskey even if Remus did protest). “We need to talk.” Draco told Harry when they were cuddled on their bed; Pansy and Blaise at the edge of it.
“Ok...” he sat up from Draco’s shoulder.
“The prophecy said that you or Voldemort would die at the hands of the other.” Pansy stated.
Blaise finished, “That means you might die.” All three looked caring and tentative Harry got more enjoyment out of laughing.
He rolled his eyes, “I know, but I’m going to win. As Hermione pointed out last year, I beat him in first, second and fourth year. Add last year to the mix because we beat his best minions.”
