It was Halloween night and her classes were done for the week. She wanted to cut loose and have fun at a party.
"Alright , little red." Leo said, closing his laptop.
"Why can't you just come out with us?" Bria asks, sitting on her bed.
"Because I need to finish my essay for Law school." He said, grabbing his things. "Thank you by the way for the help."
"No problem." She said, walking towards him. Her arms wrap around his waist, "I'll call you when I get home."
Leo pressed his lips against hers, then her forehead. "I'll be waiting." He said, before leaving her room.

Bria laughed. She grabs her small bag and house keys.

"TO THE WINDOW!" Everyone yells. The party was hot.
Bria looks down at her vibrating phone. It was an unknown number. She ends the call and continues to dance. Her phone starts to vibrate. Same number. Bria rolls her eyes and ends the call.
"Who was that?" Nicole asks, leaning into Bria's ear.
Bria shrugs, "I don't know but they need to stop calling me." She said, moving to the music. Her phone vibrated.
Unknown. Come outside. Sister in trouble.
Bria leans into Vanessa's ear, "Hey, family emergency. I'm gonna head out."
"Need us to come?"
Bria shook her head, "No, I'll text you when I'm home." She said, before walking through the crowd. Once she made it outside, she saw Oscars car.
"Get in."
Bria rolls her eyes, "That's really low to use my sister as way to talk to me." She said, crossing her arms.
Oscar clenches his teeth, "Cesar texted me and said they were in trouble." He said, showing her the message.
Bria quicky gets into his car, "Why are they in Brentwood?" She asks, talking his phone.
"I don't know." The two sat in silence as they pulled into a nice neighborhood. Cesar stood in front of crowd of people.
As soon as the car was parked, Bria walked over towards Monse. "You guys alright?" She asks, looking at each of them.
"Yeah," they said, picking egg shells off of their body.
"I thought you were at a party?" Monse asks.
"Oscar called." Bria answers, turning to face the crowd. She looks over at Oscar as he intimidates the wannabe cholo and lets out a sigh.

"Well since it's still Halloween, we can have a sister movie night. I've got Friday the 13, Halloween, Nightmare-" Bria looks up to see her sister with a red shoe box on her lap. She hadn't seen that box since Monse made it. Bria leans in the doorway.
Monse looks up at her, "I think I saw mom."
Bria looks at Monse for a little before letting out a chuckle, "There's no way, she's all the way in New York."
"The woman looks so much like her. She had two little kids with her."
"Kids?"
Monse nods, "They were trick or treating." She answers, looking through the pile of photos. "What if it's her?"
"Don't get your hopes up." Bria said, before leaving the doorway. She walked downstairs into her bedroom. She grabs her phone and calls Leo 💕.
"Yo,"
Bria takes a seat on her bed, "You won't believe what Monse said."
"So you're riding with Spooky now?" Leo said, throwing Bria off.
"What?"
"I pulled up to the party since I finished early. Everyone said you left with Spooky." He said. "What's up with that?"
"His brother and my sister needed help out in Brentwood. He just picked me up and brought us home."Bria answers, "it's not a big deal."
"Well when I have my boys calling me and sending pics, kinda is a big deal." He said, "honestly whatever." The line went dead.
Bria looks at her phone and shakes her head. She glances at the painting of her mom. She gets up from her seat and grabs the canvas.
Bam!
Bria tossed the broken canvas and sat on the ground. Tears soon followed.
