Day 9 : playing with the cats and the crows

You stare at Kuroo not believing him one bit "Your kidding me right?" you ask to only get laughs back your way from the team.

"so you're okay with me playing with them?" you ask the coach to which he only nods his head yes to your surprise

"it's not ideal not to have Kenma while we play, but we already have played a few sets without him today and having someone who actually plays setter will make it more fun, even if we are going up against Karasuno.  Kenma will be slightly upset about missing out on playing against them but what can we do about it" Kuroo then says while pulling you into the group. you let out a sigh and quickly stretch and warm up so you at least didn't pull anything while playing. 

 Lev hands you a blue mesh jersey to put on on top of your tank top that had a random number on it, probably Kenmas. you mentally curse at that fake blonde haired gamer boy for putting you in this situation.  but before you really had time to do that you were thrown out on to the court. 

The guys on the team talked it over for you and they told you just to have fun and leave the rest up to them on hitting the balls you send up. first you thought you were gonna be fine until you really looked at who you were playing. the first person you saw on the other side of the net was Hinata.

"oh hey (y/n) what are you doing on the court?" he asks seeing you which caught the attention of the other boys on the team, you weakly wave hi to Kiyoko and yachi on the other side trying to put on a brave face to let them know you were okay.

"I blame Kenma for this you say under your breath" as the guys talk from both sides on why you were standing where you were. But finally it was time to play after all of the explaining had been done. things surprisingly weren't doing to bad with the setting part, blocking is a different story, as the nets are set up for boy standard matches which is higher than what you were used to playing on. it made it really hard for you to reach the ball when you could see that they were gonna spike it. The guys weren't bugged though by you not being able to block that much thankfully, as you were getting frustrated by not being able to stop the ball.

Eventually it became your turn to serve and you became actually a bit excited about the game finally. you take the ball in your hand knowing that the Karasuno boys had another thing coming. rolling the ball between your hands you walk back to the serving line. You take a deep breath in tossing the ball in the air, you push you body up jumping before hitting the ball. you watch as it flies over the net before hitting the ground on the other side between two players with a loud bang as it bounces up off the floor.

you stand there with a satisfied smirk on your face as you watch the players faces in disbelief on the other side. you suddenly feel a smack on your back that almost caused you to fall over you see kuroo standing next to you with a grin on his face.

"nice going with that serve (y/n), nearly knocked one of their players out" he jokes to you, you roll your eyes back at him

"I did not, also that was like nothing I don't serve very often so im a little rusty." you say back to him turning away.

"yeah yeah, just do another one of those and we'll be all good." he says handing you back the ball.

"nothing less from the sister of the great king himself!" you hear Hinata say to one of his team mates confusing you a little. You shrug it off getting ready to hit the ball again. You serve once again aiming for the same spot, but somehow their libero managed to get it. you quickly run back into your spot watching as Kagayama sets the ball up your eye quickly move to see it was going up to Hinata . Watching you see him hit the ball coming back down to your side of the net yaku was to far to get it. With out thinking you push off to your left trying to get it. 

.... and well you did get it but not with a very good receive, just as soon as you had moved the ball landed straight into your face and bounces off to the other side of the net.  your body quickly fell back from the force of the ball to face collision. Before you knew it you were on the ground. Hinatas quick sure packed a punch that's for sure you thought as you held your nose in pain.

quickly you were picked up off the ground by one of the boys and put on a bench, your vision was spotty and your whole face and back side were in pain. pulling one of hands out you see it covered in blood finally making you realize you were having a severe bloody nose. you quickly put your hand back where it was looking back up making eye contact with a very stressed out looking Kuroo.

"are you okay!?" he quickly asks looking at you.

"am i okay? Kuroo do I look okay, I somehow just took on Hinata quick full on with my face!" you say back looking at your now blood covered hands, finally Kiyoko comes over from the other side with a handful of tissues handing it to you which you gladly take and quickly use to stop the blood loss instead of your hands which honestly were starting to look like a murder scene with the amount of blood on them. 

"(Y/N)! IM SO SORRY ARE YOU OKAY?" Hinata yells running over to you gathering the attention of the near by teams

"your okay Hinata its not your fault, and i guess we'll see if i'm okay soon once the bleeding stops" you tell him trying to calm down the boy who seemed very troubled by you getting hit in the face by a ball he spiked 

"your spikes sure do pack a punch Hinata" you tell him trying to lighten the mood which luckily worked a bit making him happy that he received a compliment from you. You watched as he went back his team as your tissues soon enough became soaked.

"Uh i think i should get some more tissues" you standing up starting to walk away before a sudden wave of dizziness over came you making you almost fall over but luckily Kuroo caught you.

"Yeah that's not a good idea going by yourself" he says before grabbing the back of your legs carrying you.

"stop you don't have to carry me your gonna end up getting blood on you" you tell him trying to get him to put you down.

"haha and like i care?" he laughs as he walks out of the gym as carrying you .
