Day 12: the king and queen of the fort

At some point while watching volleyball videos both you and Bokuto must've fallen asleep because the next thing you remember is waking up hearing hushed voices from the out side of the fort and Bokuto passed out next to you snoring as he slept. You remove Bokutos arm from around and gently put it down and slowly made your way to peak out the fort to see what was going on .

Peaking out you see a group of some of the boys and managers arguing who to check on you and Bokuto first. You internally roll your eyes at them and move back inside the fort where you noticed Bokuto had woken up too. you put a finger up to your lip letting him know to be quiet as you slowly made your way over to him and whispered in his ear what you had just seen. Bokuto then leans over and cups his hand to whisper in your ear.

"do you wanna play a small prank on them?" he asks. you pause thinking of what to say but nod your head yes anyways. "okay since they're gonna check in here any minute now lets quickly sneak out the back of the fort and surprise them." he tells you you nod your head in agreement and follow him out the back of the fort careful not to make any noise or to disturb the fort causing it to fall over.

Once you were both out you crouched down behind the fort trying to figure out how to surprise them. when you hear a voice from the group. "fine you know what im going to check shes my sister anyways!" your face heats up in embarrassment realizing your brother had been in that group, Bokuto also looks at you surprised as you listen to the footsteps get closer. You and Bokuto both had panic in your eyes not knowing what you were gonna do next.

"hey (y/n) im coming in you and Bokto better not  b- HUH?! Uh guys they arent in here!" Toorus voice filled the room as he yells to the others. You and Bokuto cover your mouths to keep from laughing as you here more foot steps and voices confirming that the both of you were gone.

"well we gotta and go look for them"

"where could they have gone"

"we need to tell one of the coaches now!"

"you dont think they could be you know doing anything"

"dont accuse my sister of doing stuff like that! lets go look for them!"

The voices quickly left the room as the others had left both you and Bokuto stared at each other not sure on what had just happened.

"uh wanna go back in the fort and watch more volleyball videos ?" he suddenly asks which you nod your head yes to and get back in the fort with him and you lay back down together. as you grabbed your phone to pull up a video.

"I dont get why all of them were here to check on us anyways, and why would they need to come into the fort were the ones who made it." you say while trying to find a new video.

"Yeah! we're the King and Queen of the rain and the fort!" Bokuto agrees making you laugh about the phrase king and queen of the fort.

"its not like there is a ton of room in here either just enough room for like maybe two more people and there was definitely more than two of them" you say back as you finally pull up a new video on your phone. You and Bokuto tune in to the screen and get comfortable before you see a text from your mom pop up, which turned into two then three then a phone call. you press answer and put on speaker phone.

"uhhh hello mom?" you ask confused by the sudden call.

"(y/n) are you alright! I just got a text from your brother saying that your sick and they cant find you in the room they set aside for you!" you and Bokuto look at each other surprised by this information.

"well i am sick but i am also have been in this room the they've set aside for me the whole day I haven't left yet. I've been in and out of the fort Bokuto and I made though and we might have left the fort when we heard voices and hid behind it ....." you then say to her which you received the biggest sigh from your mom because of your reply.

"oh (y/n) it sounds like your having a good time even though your sick but you probably shouldn't pull that again, i'm going to text your brother now so ill call you back later so you can tell me about Bokuto okay bye!" she quickly responds before promptly hanging up on you 

"uggghh mom" you say out loud before looking at Bokuto 

"I guess i've made a good enough impression on your mom that she wants to know more about me." he tries to gloat only making you roll your eyes at him before playing the video again for you to watch resting your head back on to Bokuto's chest like you did earlier before you had fallen asleep.

the next ten minutes went by as you watched videos on your phone until the flap of the fort was flung open scaring both you and Bokuto a bit only for Akaashi's face to pop in.

"Hey hey hey Akaashi!!!" Bokuto says happily seeing his best friend.

"so you two are actually in here" he says before coming into the fort closing the fort flap behind him, made his way over to you two before laying down next to you, you ruffle his hair and smile at him.

"you wanna watch volleyball videos with us?" you ask him, for him to only nod his head yes and scoot closer to you to see the screen. You press play again and the three of watch the screen only to then be interrupted again by the flap opening and two more faces popping through looking at you. 

"see Kenma i told you they'd be in here!" Hinata says entering first.

"yeah you were right" Kenma says following Hinata into the fort.

"hey what are you guys watching?" Hinata asks sitting down next to Akaashi while Kenma made himself comfortable on the other side of you and Bokuto.

"volleyball videos" you reply to him before looking back at your screen trying to enjoy the video you were watching. Luckily everyone was quiet enough for you all to watch the video until a thought popped into your head.

"hey wait a second why aren't you three in practice right now?" you ask them

"its because were finished for the day everyone is just waiting for dinner or now most are trying to figure out where the two of you are." Kenma replies.

"oh okay" you say pausing to think 

"wait we missed lunch Bokuto" 

"oh that's why i was so hungry" Bokuto mumbles under his breath. You let out a laugh to his response.

"see Oikawa i knew they'd be in here!" you here a voice and turn to see Kuroo looking into the flap of your fort with your brother and Iwazumi. 

"(y/n)! where were you?!" your brother suddenly shouts at you through the opening of the fort.

"Um in here?" you say back to him trying not to cause a scene in your now over crowded fort.

"yeah right last time i checked you weren't in here" he says back to you looking at you with an angry expression on his face.

"I'm not lying I've been in this room the whole time, Bokuto and i haven't left at all! you can even ask mom I told her I've been in this room the whole time maybe not in the fort the whole time but I've been in this room!" you say back to him trying to prove a point.

"fine whatever but you better get out soon dinner is almost ready." he tells you before turning around and leaving the room.

"uh so i guess we should all go get ready for dinner" Kuroo says clearing the awkward tension in  the fort as everyone slowly made there way out in the order they got in. you walk down the hall with the guys excited to eat some food again, feeling very hungry after finding out you and Bokuto slept through lunch.

You sat down with the boys for dinner and had a great meal it felt good to be out of the room but you were also excited to be able to talk to the girls again later you missed hanging out with them today.
