Summer

Day 12 : Cold

You woke up the next morning feeling terrible, you had totally forgotten to dry your hair last night and it was still slightly damp to the touch this morning. you also felt ache all over your body along with a stuffy nose too. the others noticed this and quickly took your temperature.

"well it looks like our (y/n) has got herself a small fever" Kiyoko says as she takes the thermometer out of you mouth looking at it , showing it to Yukie next to her

"shes right, luckily its nothing serious so we wont have to take you to the hospital but you definitely need to rest today. " Yukie adds in making you pout, you hopped the other guys weren't feeling to bad, but they also had more time to dry off than you did so your hopping it was fine.

the girls make you put on a mask while you guys made your way to the kitchen they made you sit out again not being able to help which you understood why they were doing this but it sucked not being able to help with anything but they made sure to assure you that it was okay. you sat in the dinning hall looking into the kitchen watching the girls cook as the guys slowly filled in eventually you perked up as you saw Akaashi walk in but soon following after him was a Bokuto who was looking very similar to you and was also wearing a mask.

They make there way over and sit next to you, soon after Kuroo and kenma show up looking fine. You look around and see that Hinita was looking fine as well, it appeared as only you and Bokuto were the ones who got small colds from your adventures yesterday in the rain. Kuroo promptly made fun of the two of you because of this.

"looks like the king and queen of the rain are the ones who got sick because of it" he says laughing at the two of you. you roll your eyes at him.

"you're just jealous Kuroo because now (y/n) and I get to spend the whole day hanging out together since were the ones who are sick!" Bokuto says back at him swinging his arm over your shoulders taunting Kuroo.

"That low of you Bokuto, stealing our manager like that." Kuroo says back to him.

"But i'm not even the manager thou-" you start to say before you get interrupted by the food coming out. breakfast then seemed to go by quickly as you at, and as Bokuto guessed earlier you and him were being forced to sit out today and to get extra rest.

After breakfast you and Bokuto were sent to a makeshift sick room for the two of you to stay in while resting up, with coaches coming in to check on you two periodically. You bring your blanket and pillow and bring your switch and your charged phone with you in case you got bored but you were with Bokuto so being bored was very unlikely to happen. you quickly spread out your blankets and pillows out and lay down taking off your mask so you could actually breath.

soon after you got all settled in Bokuto comes bursting in throwing his things on you knocking you over, totally taking you by surprise.

" hey! what was that for?" you ask pushing his stuff off you into a pile. Bokuto just laughs your question off and spreads out his stuff next to yours and lays down next to you. You roll your eyes at him and reach over and ruffle his hair before laying down.

you both lay in the quiet room, both a little upset that you both had gotten a small cold and couldn't go to practice today. Suddenly Bokuto sat up and looked at you with a smile. "(y/n) lets build a fort!"

"right now?" you ask confused at his sudden eagerness to do something.

"yes right now!" he says standing up quickly pulling you up from off the ground. you let out a laugh and smile at him as he started to move things around already, even with him feeling sick and tired like you he still had the energy to have fun.

the two of you push the two beds in the room together and lay your blankets and and pillows on them. you then grabbed some chairs and put them on three sides of the bed. Bokuto then found some brooms and you stuck them in between the beds so the middle of the fort wouldn't sink in. you then placed the blankets on top of the chairs and broomsticks to complete the fort.

the both of you look at each other accomplished before you let out a small sneeze which made both of you laugh. you then each got in and observed your work from the inside. you sit down next to Bokuto in the fort and smile at him

"what?" he asks looking at you confused but smiling back at you.

"just i didn't know i was going to have so much fun here at this camp let alone having this much fun while i'm sick" you say back at him, he looks at you before grabbing you pulling you in for a hug surprising you.

" hey whats with the hug all of a sudden?" you ask as you hug him back..

"you just looked like you needed one"' he replied back before holding you a little tighter before letting go. you look at him and smile before you lay down looking up at the top of the fort.

"do you wanna watch videos on my phone?" you ask looking back at him, Bokuto quickly nods his head yes and gestures for you to lay next to him. You move over and lay next to him taking out your phone and pull up a playlist of videos of japans professional teams playing against each other. Bokuto lays his arm over you shoulder pulling you in before pointing at the screen.

"one day that's gonna be me" he says to you confidently. you look up at him and smile.

"I have no doubts about that" you tell him before looking back to the video letting your head rest on Bokuto's chest as he rest his head on top of yours.
