As prince Adedamola headed towards the ballroom, he met Omolewa who was smiling seductively at him. Omolewa looked absolutely stunning in her light pink gown. She was a tall, slender woman. Her lips were very plump which he disliked.

Her artificial blond hair was pulled up in some kind of stylish hairdo. He finds it complexas to how these hairstylists are able to create such a hair style.
She was attractive to some extent, he knew that for a fact but he wasn’t attracted to her at all.

“What are you doing here?” He asked with a boring look.

“Hello, love” Omolewa greeted as she pecked his cheeks.

Gosh! What is wrong with this girl? Why must she always force herself on him even after all the unscrupulous things he did to make her hate and run away from him?

“Prince Damola, your mother sent me to look for you. They will soon announce our engagement.” She told him as she loops her arm through his and she begins to pull him towards the ballroom.

Prince Damola pulled back and adjusted his royal blue dansiki and dipped his hand in the patch pockets.

He decided to totally ignore her. She is trouble whether he talked to her or not.

As they continue their walk towards the ballroom, Omolewa began to compliment him on how good he looks.

“My future husband sure does look very handsome. The weather in abroad surely did wonders to your skin. See how you are glowing tonight.” She said laughing jocularly.

Prince Adedamola acted like he didn’t hear her.
She can be so childish and incoherent! He muttered to himself.

They entered the room through a secret entrance so none of the other guests would see him and he quietly sat down besides his mother and Omolewa sat beside him.

The king looked at the prince and smiled, believing that his son is getting acquainted with his wife-to-be.

The queen glared at him intently and he ignored her totally.

“A round of applause to the exuberant Arts and culture troupe…” The MC announced through the microphone.

Suddenly, the ballroom erupted with claps and cheers

“…They are elegant, flexible and graceful in body movements. I wish I can move like them but my big belly won’t allow me. I’m sure we are all enjoying ourselves” He continued.

“Without further ado and not to bore our distinguished guests. Let the feast begins!!!”

Maids marched out from the kitchen with silver platters in each hands filled with delicacies.
